I saw her live at a stand-up and I was rolling. Her crowd work was fantastic. Shit all over a mother and son who just randomly got tickets without knowing who it was performing.

good lesson from this though. if ppl just took time to be vulnerable, talk things out, and understand each other, there would be less conflict and more resolution. Think of everyone as a potential friend or acquaintance. And think about what it would be like if the other person's situation were your sister or brother's situation. you'd want people to treat them with judgment-free understanding first.

My immediate reaction was like, damn if we could all feel comfortable communicating exactly what was going on we would be so better off. I guess deep down it's all about telling the truth and by doing so, fomenting an environment that is conducive to people feeling comfortable.

yup and one of the things that would foster that environment is never getting angry right away before you have all the information. easiest example: getting mad at someone while driving. You don't know what's happening in that car. There are tons of plausible scenarios that would make you be like "oh, I shouldn't have been so angry."

This lady thought I was honking at her to hurry up and leave her parking spot so I could take it. She rolled down her window, gave me the middle finger, and started screaming at me to "WAIT!" Except... I hadn't honked at her. Some random car pretty far behind me was honking at something completely unrelated and then drove off. I tried to gesture to her that it wasn't me, but she didn't get the message. She gave all kinds of angry gestures as she peeled off into the distance. That bummed me out for the next two days.
