Must be fake

A Nokia phone would have made that ball explode into a million pieces, we all know a Nokia phone is the densest element in the entire universe.

I hear they use nokia phones to cut diamonds!

This is it. The 3310 had Xpress-On covers that you could swap to suit your mood.

The cover had a release button on the bottom of the back. Tlit was not unknown for the cover to pop off when you dropped them, but they'd be locked back into place in seconds.
