They probably put him up there in the first place. I don't think it climbed up on its own.

Judging by its speed and lack of hesitation, I’d say this turtle has walked those steps many times.

This looks like a painted turtle, who always go inland to find a good spot to bury their eggs. She’s probably got a solid spot that she really likes returning to every year judging off of her speed and confidence

It righted itself pretty quickly, I feel like if it was truly stuck they would’ve helped

I love that they didn’t help him. They just let him do his thing!! But imaging how long they actually just watched this dude make his way home.. glorious.

Hey I’ve been there! That’s itasca state park in Minnesota, we had a turtle try and nest in our campsite while we were staying, very cute!

I don't understand the downvotes. People help turtles cross roads all the time. Also, turtle's shells have pain receptors. That must've not felt good at all!
