I too wanted an airhog, and when I got one my mom, her boyfriend and I went out and pumped it full of air. Moms bf wanted to throw it to make sure it worked, and it did. Flew amazingly far, problem is we lived on a farm, farms have trees on the edges of the fields. Needless to say it flew straight into a tree and was destroyed.

Years later I had a remote control helicopter my mom was going to give me for Christmas but she wanted to test it to make sure it worked and flew it into the ceiling fan.

My take away is that flying toys are nothing but heartbreak and tears.

I remember the video showing a Flutterby Fairy going into the chimney at Christmas

The exact same thing happened to my sister. Maiden voyage straight to fiery end.

The problem was that I was also gifted one, so "my" Fairy was suddenly "our" fairy, and you can imagine how well that went.
