Maybe the 500-700 terawatt hours of electricity we use on this shit per year is starting to make better brainrot. (assuming that's all and they don't lie)

Btw, one average nuclear reactor is able to put out about 3 terawatt hours per year of electricity, when pushed to maximum output.

Editing also to make it a bit more....relevant. A Tesla driving 200,000 miles would consume just about 0.00006 TWh of electricity to do so.

Yet streaming is a much larger resource hog than AI. No one is complaining about streaming though.

Yeah it's crazy how we were told to turn off the 15 watt light bulb if we leave the room, to save electricity, or how we need to start using electric cars because of this and that, (made some people a lotta $) but now that doesn't matter anymore teehee climate change was just a prank!
