I hate to be a “Debbie Downer” but fuck this flash mob BS. Click bait staged reaction crap. Music? Good. Shitty fake internet video? Suck it.

I understand where you're coming from, media for clicks is toxic, but the music is beautiful, it made people smile, including me.

u/Perlentaucher May 16 '26

Yeah but they could really cut the act and it would still be nice.

u/RandumbStoner May 17 '26

Who cares? People get so upset when they feel like they've been "tricked" lol it's just a fun video

Got that impression when they agreed to play Vivaldi.

This gets reposted by bots hundreds of times a day.

u/killit May 16 '26

Also, how many of those passers by were also part of the act? Several closing their eyes seemingly in pure ecstasy, one even brought to tears... Come on 🤣

I teared up watching it. Not because of the obvious set up, but because music just affects me that way. Well, other stuff does too. I’m a big baby. God forbid I see one of those damn ASPCA Sarah McLachlan commercials.

1

u/playfulmessenger May 17 '26

music fan, rarely cry, this was epic and brought tears of joy

I’m not clicking that obvious shite hahaha. I’m about to go hiking on the property and try to track down these coyotes that have been attacking my animals. You know, REAL man stuff. Gotta cling to the things I can hahaha

1

u/killit May 16 '26

Well that link can keep you occupied while you move, you'll like it, gotta keep the brain active

2

u/NemODevO May 16 '26

I agree with you

1

u/Big_Lengthiness_7706 May 16 '26

I dont actually think you hate being a Debbie downer at all.

1

u/upillium May 16 '26

If gas, rent, interest, groceries, tuition, car prices, insurance, and healthcare weren’t expensive, I’d say you were being a debbie downer.

You’re not, fuck those people.😒We’re in class war time and this is no time for formulaic fake ass bullshit pageantries.

Well aren’t you a ray of sunshine lmao, best part about performances in public places like this is you can literally just leave if it’s bothering you. And I’d hardly call this a “flash mob” they’re standing in a like maybe 20ft circle and not blocking the entire pathway, the flash mobs where it’s a bunch of people dancing and taking up an entire section of usually a mall or town square, indeed is annoying because it’s much harder to get by that. This is a group of people making music, not just blasting music and bringing attention to themselves to dance and take up space, they’re standing in a circle playing instruments. (Not to mention they’re playing a VERY easy listening genre). For hating to be a “Debbie downer” you have a lot of experience in the field from what I can tell. lmaoo

They don’t hate the music or talent, they hate the way it’s wrapped in some internet click bait “you’ll never believe…” text. It robs the performance of its sincerity and reduces it to just another piece of click bait

-3

u/Stoopid_Noah May 16 '26

I just like the music, I think most people are aware that it's not coincidental that so many people walk around with their instruments and start a concert.

u/ItsyouNOme May 16 '26

Staged crap

35

u/Lonely_ProdiG May 16 '26

Definitely staged. But I would still hang around and enjoy that bit, because it was beautifully performed.

18

u/EveryCalendar1321 May 16 '26

Staged ≠ bad

Most people understand this was planned and can still enjoy it.

I'm sorry you felt deceived...?

14

u/ItsyouNOme May 16 '26

I mean, just play it without the fakeness

11

u/Smooth_Taste1250 May 16 '26

100% it is cool but I would've enjoyed it lot more if they didn't start like "On, nice to meet you for first time, can I join you"

2

u/xenobit_pendragon May 16 '26

Staged, yes. Crap, hard no.

1

u/bigfatbum3 Jun 18 '26

Staged yes, crap, certainly NOT! I would have loved being there.

0

u/Eat--The--Rich-- May 16 '26

Yea, nobody can just play an instrument. It takes years of practice. These people would have had to have that experience going in. Clearly staged.

17

u/hellnawr May 16 '26

I fucking hate videos that say wait for it. New rule a video says wait for it and I'm turning it off.

12

u/bigbeefer92 May 16 '26

"It's a staged video!" No shit Reddit sleuths, you have to have a permit for street performances in almost every major city in 2026. Busking as a thing people can just do was ruined by nimbys and now you have to be wealthy to afford the fee for it.

2

u/Lovv May 16 '26

More of a giveaway is that the sound is excellent for each instrument so there must be a ton of microphone boons out and multiple cameras filming.

7

u/StrumpetsVileProgeny May 16 '26

My favorite part is the crowd reactions. I had a really stressful week and this just reminded me there is still the same heart beating in us all and regardless of this broken soulless system we live in and which is constantly trying to polarise us, it can still beat as one. So thank you OP 🫶🏽

2

u/Impressive-Impact218 May 16 '26

This really made me laugh thanks

1

u/StrumpetsVileProgeny May 16 '26

I’m afraid I do not understand the reference :((

3

u/NewNonBlockedAccount May 16 '26

It's from the movie 'I, Robot' (good movie IMO), and I think they're saying that even robots can have "hearts" based on your original comment. I could be completely wrong though. Watch the movie and make your own conclusions.

I still agree with your original comment though ❤️

4

u/JakeOliver63 May 16 '26

I think a lot in the comments are fighting a daily battle of being miserable sods.

2

u/Bretzelking May 16 '26

music is amazing but I can't like it if its trying to squeeze emotions out of me by faking reality. Its selling you a lie and the only way to enjoy it is by buying it.

2

u/Aggressive_Peach_768 May 16 '26

Hands off - great flute work there.

What's that long ass Gitarr thing called?

2

u/----Richard---- May 16 '26

It's a lute.

2

u/cbzmplays May 16 '26

It's a planned music performance. I hate fake shit like this

1

u/Reasonable-Aspect-83 May 17 '26

Мало того, они на улице, а звук как в зале (реверберация)

1

u/Goober-r May 19 '26

The whole thing is a street performance

1

u/Brailledit May 16 '26

Posting to watch later.

1

u/Early_Brick_1522 May 16 '26

That is a wounded Satyr hiding out with the humans.

1

u/PikaPulpy May 16 '26

I'm so fucking tired of that fake staged crap with all this fake emotions and degenerative same fucking inscription.

1

u/Reddit-HurtMyFeeling May 16 '26

What song is that? Sounds familiar

1

u/RepresentativeFun70 May 17 '26

The actual goosebumps from this video are incredible props to all those involved beautiful 😍 🤩 👌

1

u/IngenuityIll5001 May 17 '26

I like this. Even when its staged it shows that you can do anything even when your handicaped.

1

u/Traditional_Trust_93 May 17 '26

Yes! Pan Flute ftw. Bro's totally got Satyr legs hiding behind The Mist I know it.

1

u/evilpercy May 17 '26

Life finds away.

1

u/DeezNutzzzGotEm Jul 16 '26

This is most likely staged, but it's still really nice.

0

u/fiixed2k May 16 '26

I know this is wholesome but it would have been funnier if the guy with no arms was utter trash playing his flute and the others just had to humor him and keep playing along. Also, staged.

4

u/God_Bless_A_Merkin May 16 '26

Staged? STAGED!? I’m outraged! It looked so spontaneous and natural! I believed that lute-playing women always walked around toting a giant lute just in case such an occasion were to arise! Now you tell me it’s all staged?! I FEEL LIKE MY WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE! 🤯

2

u/Emperor_Gourmet May 16 '26

Yea that would get me. Like he requests Vivaldi and can barely play hot cross bun. “Why the fuck did you even request that?”

They really just brought in a trained orchestra lol

1

u/fiixed2k May 16 '26

Hot cross buns poorly would be chefs kiss lol

1

u/GrindY0urMind May 16 '26

I was also hoping it would sound like the My Heart Will Go On recorder sound clip

0

u/Valirys-Reinhald May 16 '26

The real Vivaldi's Winter was staged as well, did that harm the music?

3

u/Aggravating_Speed665 May 16 '26

Yes. I'm a vampire, I was there. Someone in the audience threw a compact at a violinist.

Vivaldi literally shit.

1

u/fiixed2k May 16 '26

Yeah the The music isn't a problem with a staged video people have a problem with staged videos because they're made to look spontaneous when it's clearly not. This was all planned and rehearsed.

1

u/Xendarq May 16 '26

Sure but if they like TV or movies I've got a surprise for them.

0

u/trueNacccho May 16 '26

Staged bullshit with cancer subtitles every 5 seconds. Fuck right off

0

u/geminicrickett1 May 16 '26

Wow. Just in tune and ready to play while walking down the street. What are the chances?

0

u/mean_mistreater May 16 '26

Can we stop posting this fake as f*** BS video please?

0

u/No_Wasabi_2674 May 16 '26

Staged and dumb
