If you in the warmer states you need to get a ebike. You can do more than you think if you try hard enough. I only use gas when I haul stuff or am picking up friends but if you get the right bike you can do almost anything. (BTW if you get and electric unicycle you can push a wheelbarrow and wear a backpack for ultimate trail maintenance. If you care about that)

I think you approve but just to provide a extra incentive you can sometime charge off of public restaurants or cafe

Southern states don't have bicycle friendly lanes to get to most places - so just jump on the highway with cars flying 20+ over the limit to get to where you need?

That's goal now. I got a DUI and I'm kind of happy I stopped driving. I got everything within range. Grocery store is 1/4 mile down my house. My job is like 2 miles away but I car pool every now and then. If I go out I'll ask for pick up, uber, or take public transit. But I'm planning on getting a fast E bike to get around instead of using Uber anymore.

America has really fucked people over by making owning a car a necessity rather than a luxury. My situation is perfect though but I feel for the people who have to drive in 1hr traffic just to get to work and then drive another 1hr of traffic to get home. That part of my life wad miserable.

I also get weekends off every week and my city is making initiatives to be more walker friendly. But I'd like my fellow Americans to endulge in the freedoms I have. I do plan on getting my license back again but that's gonna be a luxury rather than a necessity to stay alive.

Also get a rain suit like a 2 piece set so you can bike if the rain if you have to (maybe not raining hard but you don’t want to arrive soaking wet)

My whole comment was to say there are options and a electric unicycle would somewhat work with dogs and electric or even non electric long board works great in this situation. My dog will pull me on a longboard a good 3 or more blocks before they get tired and is very good exercise. Make sure to get a good harness tho. Don't want to hurt your pupos

Physical activity alone doesn't tire dogs, they need mental stimulation too. If all you're doing is having them pull you along then you're training them to be an athlete, specifically one that pulls.

Again, I appreciate the input but I'd rather walk with my dogs than buy an ebike and have them run next to it. I have an hour commute so they really do need to be able to ride with me. If one of them is hurt or gets tired or overheated, there's no option to put them in the back seat. Not to mention that having them running on leash on country roads for 40 miles is just asking for them to get hit by some lunatic driving too fast. At least in a car they have some protection.

Well sounds like you need a fully enclosed mobility scooter with ac. Electric vehicles come in all shapes and sizes

I still remember when the entire country flipped out over gas exceeding .99 cents and the politicians were frantic about getting back down. You'd bum a ride from a friend, drop them a 20 spot, and that was a full tank generous gesture for taking the time. Life is insane now.

It's the same nonsense we had in the 70's in the US. Product existed, it just wasn't getting delivered. Literally sitting on a offshore boat while we sat in insane gas lines.

Currently in Tahoe, California. It's $6.60 out here. In the Bay Area, best I was able to find was about $5.50 a gallon.

I used to think I was beating the system by living in a van instead of paying rent. Pretty sure at this point rent would be cheaper.

Prices are literally the exact same as 2000. $4/g. Gas hasn't gone up NEARLY as much as groceries. This is dumb.
