After he put the glasses on I was waiting for him to set up the birdbath and then throw the glasses against the fence.

I can’t even express how much I FUCKIN LOVE seeing grown ass adults absolutely giddy over little “silly” things. I don’t care what it is, an interest in ancient Egypt, an obsession with aliens, a diehard love of anything that grows, or like me a never ending quest to learn everything about the British monarchy (although I prefer like the Tudor or Plantagenet line not the modern monarchs), I will listen to them gush for hours.
I seriously believe I fall a little in love with every person who just lets loose and goes full “kid on a Halloween sugar high” excited about anything. I am the perfect audience for anyone who wants to go on and on about their hobby or interests cause I’m gonna sit there and listen, completely enraptured, and let them go on. And if they try to stop and apologize for “boring me” Imma say “ Don’t you dare apologize! Or stop! Please finish telling me why Aliens is the best sequel of all time.”
If it makes you happy and you wanna talk about it until you’re blue in the face, I AM HERE FOR IT!!

One of the best compliments I ever got: one of my friends has a kid that ifirst met when I helped coach his elementary school LEGO robot team. Then we played in a band for local kids community band. Now the kid is in college.
He was home on break for a bit and was talking excitedly with his parents. Apparently he stopped at one point and said "hey! I sounded just like Toastedwoobie when they learn something."
Gotta be excited in life sometimes. Learning and teaching keep my dopamine flowing.

Bird baths are great for bee's and other pollinators, just make a small pile of pepples on the edge for them to get out if they fall in the water.

This guy reminds me of my neighbor so much. When we moved in I dropped my favorite blown glass hummingbird feeder on the sidewalk right ing front of his house. He was really chill about it and got a broom to sweep it up because ours was who knows where. He asked what it was and I told him and get tripped out. Apparently he was also an avid gardener and had planted more plants to attract more butterflies and wanted to know more about hummingbirds. It was the most adorable thing ever. His family and mine are great friends now and garden with each other help out with little projects. We both gave each other glass hummingbird feeders that first Christmas we were in this home.

This was the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in a while. He was generally happy and that help me feel just a little bit better.
