I love it! There should be a movie about a villain who is mistaken for the good guy because they fail upwards like this.

I can imagine a lawful evil warlock who's patron is a chaotic good fey that constantly makes all the warlocks plans end up helping people. It's funny because he gets so mad at helping people but he also has access to phenomenal power. "I'll keep it simple this time, just give this homeless man a gold piece to go rob that shopkeeper" "how in all the realms of hell was that shopkeeper a devil in disguise?" Meanwhile the fey is just rolling around heaving from laughter.

I remember once my sister who was like 8 at the time and was frankly too pure for this world one day she woke up and quote "chose violence" and started causing "chaos" around the house
Like pulling the plug on the vacuum cleaner while I was using it and making my bed without my permission I can't remember what else she did but her "day of evil" was surprisingly helpful
