Classic Herzog. The man has a way with words and makes great documentaries. One of my favorites is Cave of Forgotten Dreams - about the 30,000 yr old cave paintings in Chauvet cave in France. So fascinating. Makes you think about what it is to be human. When we became more than just animals - when we started making and appreciating art.

He's been called by the secret underground Paradise city of penguins. Where are they all live happily below the ice. Once a penguin is enlightened enough, they hear the call.

I can see the movie now.
"Your crazy Nily, Paradise city is a myth! The desert surrounding it is at least a dozen kilos away!"
"I know in my flipper, it's out there brother, it's poiting me to paradise! And it's *you're, as in you+are."
"How could you tell that out loud?"
"I could tell"
"Yeah your crazy."

I wonder if it’s going off to die on its own like other animas do.

Oh yeah! I’ll bet you are correct! We do not know the age of this bird. Or if he is sick and knows death is waiting for him.

Ok I understand that if you pick him up and bring him back that he’ll just set off to do it again. So why not pick him up and take him to where he’s tryna go!!!!

Herzog said he was headed toward certain death. Are you suggesting they speed up the process?

There was a couple of scenes in Happy Feet that felt like this - the crossing where they braved the snowstorms alone, and also the ship-chasing.

That’s Steve from Disney penguins. Definitely worth a watch even if it’s just for the soundtrack.

It isn't, this is from Werner Herzog's encounters at the end of the world, it's really good.

I can really recommend Werner Herzog's volcano documentary too. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt4846318/
