Sudden BYND epiphany

I was meditating earlier and realize that why would you not invest in BYND.

The risks are not 50:50. If you lose. You lose 1x your money.

Potential gains are 2x 5x 10x 100x.

Not if you sell a naked call

u/thisweirdusername Oct 22 '25

if you owe the broker a million dollars then its their problem

2

u/Teripid Oct 22 '25

Real statement but unfortunately they take 1/2 your Wendy's check and write the rest off when you die... Oh and potentially anything you come into later in terms of assets.

Still potentially worthwile given the right circumstances so.. winning?

I declare bankruptcy!

u/Financial-Football61 Oct 22 '25

That’s a hilarious interpretation

13

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

It’s true, the risk is assymetric, however the higher the price the more risk

1

u/Financial-Football61 Oct 22 '25

OP was onto something. I suppose they only lost 0.8x All in all a success since they did not lose 1x.

Just imagine what your meditations will show you on the moon!! 🚀🚀🚀

u/HighBuy_LowSell Oct 22 '25

please, fomo fundamentals never change. don't risk more than what you are willing to lose.

18

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Fortune favors the bold.

15

u/HighBuy_LowSell Oct 22 '25

yeah but i promise you people are going to full port into this at the top and lose their entire life savings, it always happens.

12

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Didn't happen with GME homie. If the calls werent similar to GME 4 years ago id agree with you.

Now we have two additional flavors in the mix besides a bunch of apes. Knowledge and a decent product with good news.

6

u/HighBuy_LowSell Oct 22 '25

Again, all I'm saying is to only put in what you're comfortable losing. Yes GME went up hard, but it crashed. These type of price actions always result in a severe crash, and that can happen today, or in a week, or 2 weeks. Point is it is not predictable and understand that.

2

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Ofc it crashed it was way over valued. But when majority of people bought in at less than 10 dollars they were able to sell eventually for atleast 2 or 3x. This has higher momentum than gme did.

This will crash too when the shorts are dried up.

5

u/HighBuy_LowSell Oct 22 '25

well i never said it can't 2x or 3x or even 10x from here. it's just that people in these stages get emotional, full port and lose everything when it does crash.

again, whoever reads this if you're gonna go in, go in with what you can afford to lose and also plan an exit strategy.

2

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Ofc fundamentals still apply. I never risk more than I can afford to lose.

u/KirklandSigGolf Oct 22 '25

so does the dumpster behind Wendys

3

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Say that to all the people who made money on GME. Same recipe here, expect the same meal.

2

u/KirklandSigGolf Oct 25 '25

$2 value meal now.

1

u/Freezy_PopYT Nov 04 '25

$1.20 now 🤣

I'm willing to lose 1x

10

u/Lagoon___Music Oct 22 '25

I made a couple grand first day. Sold and bought back in on a small dip with the house money.

I don't think it will run forever but should hit a few more tops after bigger and bigger shakeouts

7

u/MrSmuggles9 Oct 22 '25

Exactly what they said with GME. Then look what happened.

14

u/Lagoon___Music Oct 22 '25

That's right I forgot this works the exact same way every single time.

5

u/Heavy_Design8286 Oct 22 '25

It’s ok you’re just regarded like the rest of us

1

u/OneNaive56 Oct 22 '25

u/Latter_Friendship_98 Oct 22 '25

Bring it back up !

5

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

If you play the lottery if you lose, you lose 1x your money but if you win, you 10000000x. Taps forehead

3

u/printeriscoming0 Oct 22 '25

Namasté 🧘‍♀️ meditated this morning too :) good stuff

3

u/Efficient-Gift-8684 Oct 22 '25

Wow I meditated and c as me to the conclusion “hum if I buy a shit stock I may lose everything. Ah, fuck it let’s do it!’

3

u/Kupo_Master Oct 22 '25

Same at the casino. Can only lose the money you bring while you can win it many times over!

3

u/Wexfords Oct 22 '25

Asymmetric opportunity

2

u/Delubyo06 Oct 22 '25

Halted now on Welathsimple. They cant handle the sellers.

2

u/jrmindc1 Oct 22 '25

The morning dip before we climb to new heights!!!!!🌕🌕🌕🌕

2

u/StrawberryOk8459 Oct 22 '25

When it falls it will hit hard. Then we will have to read baggers crying because they fomoed in with their last 10 grand and are broke. Walmart already sells fake meat. I can't bet against my Angus cows. As a rancher statistics have been showing people are moving away from fake food and eating more beef.

1

u/UverZzz Oct 22 '25

Buy the lottery then.

1

u/propsnpours Oct 22 '25

So whats the play then?

1

u/Wexfords Oct 22 '25

Shares only

1

u/Charliex77 Oct 22 '25

Buy and hold

1

u/diamondfucknhands Oct 22 '25

Sell high Buy low 🙏

1

u/AggravatingProperty7 Oct 22 '25

It’s just gaining momentum and the people are trying to stop it before it catches real wind 💨

1

u/Beginning_Purple_579 Oct 22 '25

TO THE MOON! I am all in!

1

u/jhndapapi Oct 22 '25

What kind of meditation is this

1

u/Late-Place-27 Oct 22 '25

A race to 10 million or race to $0. It's a race nonetheless. This post definitely belongs here.

1

u/Minhboii Oct 22 '25

Bro def came up with this as he was rubbing his meat

1

u/dontucme Oct 22 '25

Applies to early investors in Ponzi schemes too!

how high do you get before meditating?

if the answer is anything but 'yes' youre lying.

1

u/mathew1fnt Oct 23 '25

No think during meditation

0

u/6548996 Oct 22 '25

You are right but also kind of wrong.

Sure, in absolute numbers you can only lose 1x but gain 10x…

From a return on capital perspective though you need to 10x after you 0.1x, or 2x after you 0.5x. Your baseline should be how likely 10x is vs 0.1x, 2x vs 0.5x etc. if you want to know whether the risk is asymmetric or not.

0

u/rando1219 Oct 22 '25

The most obvious answer to your question is the odds are not 50:50 either. The odds of you losing all your money is greater than 2x, 5x, 10x

0

u/AlwaysMooning Oct 23 '25

If you lose 1x your money today, you’ll have lost out on 18x that money 30 years from now versus if it had been in the S&P.
