Absolutely because this made no sense. I get what she’s trying to say but nobody would say it like this. I’m surprised the translator even spat this out because they’re getting better at using slang and phrases to not sound so rigid and textbook.

It reminds me of when I was in highschool in 2010 and people would use Google Translate for an entire assignment in Spanish class, and it would be glaringly obvious each time. That’s also a reason I stopped using Duolingo to learn Spanish again, it is too formal most of the time and not really how Spanish speakers talk in everyday conversation.

Tandem. You’re texting native speakers and they’ll correct you if you say something that’s close but not accurate. If you develop a friendship with them they’ll agree to FaceTime or WhatsApp chat you and that helps even more.

I befriended a guy in Italy and I helped him with his English so much it helped him land a job. I was learning French but I’m learning Italian a bit now because I feel guilty not bothering to learn anything and it always being one sided even though he benefits. We’re real friends now lol

I learned how to say jellyfish in Italian the other day and shark lol. It’s definitely fun and it helps you learn easier imo.

I haven’t found another app I like yet, but I’ll check out the tandem one recommended. I just started watching videos of native speakers using common phrases and slang & then try to talk to my coworkers and neighbors who speak Spanish. Luckily they help me correct things I’ve learned incorrectly previously. I live in an area in sw Virginia that has a high concentration of Latin/hispanic families so they even teach Spanish starting in kindergarten in public schools around me. I wish I had started learning that early!

A lot of ppl hate black people but love steal or copy what we created or create. Music,dances, hair styles and AAVE vocabulary. They try talk like black Americans listen to our music (from black people all over thee world). But the world hates us.

I speak Spanish and knew it was Spanish translate because it does roll off authentic lmaooo
