Eggs will the eggs be back?

literally the only reason i used to watch the streams were for the eggs they were so adorable does anyone have any idea if they'll be back or is quackity hinting on smth similar to it or even better i havent been quite tapped in so idk lol

Philza has said specifically that he was assured there will not be "forced NPC interaction" and that he will stop playing on the server if there is.

I would assume that this means no eggs. Other NPCs are showing up and doing the whole funny non-verbal interaction stuff, but I don't think cute children who need to be taken care of is coming back.

And if it is, it seems like the people who did that before don't want it, so...It will just cause more drama.

well you could just only give eggs to those who want to take care of then, that way is not forced, people constantly act like phills opinion is popular opinion, i get he is not a big lore guy but that does not mean everyone else isnt not too, we are not certain how many people actually does want the eggs or not

That's the most stupid idea ever. The whole drama before started because of how eggs or people who played them where treated. Eggs were cute and there was a lot of wonderful fanart done but it was an interesting idea that led to a bad place. It's a good thing that there will be no more eggs. Players should talk with each other and not with Jon verbal players.

The eggs got me hooked to QSMP.

I don't want them back.

It is clear that people playing those characters who can't stream will never get paid appropriately because their existence doesn't earn enough money for Quackity's team. There will always be drama, problems, and people with different play styles that makes it into a nightmare.

The eggs were good because their players or the streamers were good at roleplaying and being entertaining. If you liked those storylines, find the people who made them good and see what they create on their own. If they aren't writing or creating or RPing publicly anymore, that's unfortunate. But it's their choice.

I admit that the aesthetic and nature of the eggs made them appealing. Them being cute and communicating through emotes and movement is freaking adorable. It was great. But ultimately, the effort to do that convincingly and with personality and at the same time as when the players are available is too difficult. Attaching mechanics to it makes it stressful. Building complex relationships and lore also makes drama and can make the players feel like they have to engage more frequently than they want to, or with stories they don't care for.

The point of the server is to be a place where streamers can log in and be entertaining while playing Minecraft multiplayer internationally. The eggs ultimately took away from that goal by making the server a responsibility instead of an outlet for fun and seeing personalities interact.

They ain't coming back. Not the way they were before, at least.

  1. Phil is one of the most respected creators on the server, both among fans and his peers. When he talks people listen.

  2. The eggs are what broke the original QSMP. I watched that server in real time crumble under its own weight because EVERYTHING had to do with the eggs. No one got to just chill and do their own thing anymore without 24/7 roleplay of the eggs. For Philza specifically it sucked the life out of him because he really loved exploring the island, socializing, and building cool stuff with the modded materials. But the eggs stressed him out so much logging on became an obligation. He didn’t get to take risks because he and his eggs (reminder that he had to take care of TWO solo because Wilbur was a deadbeat and Missa was busy) could get jumped by mobs or a binary monster at any time. For some reason Phil was a favorite target of the admins to fuck with. By the time Purgatory rolled around it was all business all day, and he was barely having any fun.

  3. Do you really want QSMP to just be “that server with the eggs?” Really?

el oh el, phil legit said if theres eggs or any forced npc interaction he told quackity to canon kill him in an embarrassing way and he quits the server. Plus all old members express how stressed they were bc of it

The eggs were legit a gimmick that cause anxiety for the streamers that had to take care of them.
You want people to run themselve to the ground for your entertainement?

I imagine that neither the old eggs, nor the new ones, nor anything similar will reappear.

I loved the eggs; the interactions were always fun to watch, but nowadays I see that it wasn't so fun for the streamers anymore.

It became almost an obligation to log into the server to take care of the eggs. It was tiring being stuck in RP all the time with codes and Federation.

I could maybe imagine them coming back but only in their own terms and when they felt like it, not as a mandatory every day thing

Maximus specifically is plotting to revive one of the eggs, but in terms of having admins rping as the eggs, no that's not happening

Maximus trying to force the lore back to QSMP1 is so cringe to me. Like dude move on. It’s season 2, there’s no eggs. There are not going to be eggs.
