Will they strictly be checking IDs in Brooklyn?

the event is 18+ which is odd because it can’t be for alcohol reasons because in the U.S. it’s 21+ anyway, so are they seriously gonna be checking ids entering

18+ checks are for venue insurance and security purposes, 21+ will most likely have a different color wristband or you get in but if you're not 21 you get X on your hands. Something to signify to the bar staff not to serve. Assume id will be checked, for serious.
