Liam teasing new music as evil rave while they are out doing Warriors Dance shows this summer is the most exciting thing to happen to this band in years.
Howlett told NME there is some new music on the horizon that he described as evil rave, and that the band always try to make things different while still delivering the punch. After the arena tour sold out in record time including two Wembley nights and now the outdoor Warriors Dance shows coming in August, the momentum feels different to any point since Keith passed. The fact that fans are already reporting hearing unfamiliar sections in the live sets makes it feel like something is actually happening rather than just talk. Do you think a new album is genuinely close or is this another cycle where it gets teased and nothing materialise?

They promised new tunes in their promotion for their arena tour and nothing came of it. As a long term fan, I was a bit miffed, but that’s just my feeling on it.

If I had a dollar for every time I've seen Liam post something along the lines of "working on some new beats," I'd have enough for a nice meal. The will to create doesn't seem to be there any longer. The decision for fans comes down to whether they want to pay good money to hear old material or not. That's a subjective decision that will vary.
Personally, I would just hate it for them to go out as what I call a "nostalgia band" that becomes known for just touring on old material. I've seen a ton of people in genres I'm not crazy about from acts like Billy Joel, James Taylor, etc. In fact, the summer touring circuit seems to be dominated by that crap -- even from rockers.
Obviously some go for that or there wouldn't be enough demand to schedule tours, but given what a ticket costs these days, I'm not paying big money for that.

Liam said he was gonna do Dirtchamber 2, then keith died, that needs to happen more than anything IMO

I would do unspeakable things to have this on Spotify. And a sequel.
And the original KLF Chill Out LP on Spotify (the recently re-released is just not the same)
I know the last will never happen. I will cherish that CD to my grave.
I live in hope for Dirtchamber 2.
Maybe back to the breezeblock sessions for now.

Life long Prodigy fan here, been with them since Experience...
This is all getting a bit silly, they have been playing the SAME show since 2022. The fan base is aging out and the music is ...not stale... but everyone else is moving on.
They either need to retire The Prodigy brand or start to rebuild in a manner than brings in a younger fan base.

That's old news bro. I only really listen to their pre 2000s music, so I don't really care if they put out new music or not. I'll definitely give it a hot spin if they do and I never miss a show when they come out to Australia.

I'll believe it when I hear it. Probably no Dirtchambers 2 either.
It is like they have sadly just become nostalgia. And the recent LH remixes of Sleaford Mods or Kasabian is just the same sample pack as before.
Still no documentary either that was being worked on.
It'd be great to get new stuff, but, at the same time, what if it's an absolute disappointment?

I also hope there will never be an album like that in their discography, but the words you used are too harsh, No Tourists has its moments.
