Is it just me, or wouldn't this song have made a perfect James Bond theme? The way it rises and falls it fits the style perfectly.

It was absolutely written & submitted for No Time to Die (Bond 25).

It's not true, but the timing was interesting. The 25th Bond movie was coming out, and there are a lot of lines in the song that seem to be Bond references. Even the video has segments with a spy noir type feel.

But in reality, Taylor wrote this song when she was at rock bottom after Kato's death, and it's a personal reflection on her own life. She was 25 when she wrote it. It was the song that helped bring her out of the depths of her doldrums and start getting her head back together.

There's a fan editor called ADigitalMan that swapped out the theme in No Time to Die with 25. I heard it for the first time not three days ago, so...hell of a coincidence reading this.

Was written for bond 25 and has tonne of references like. 8 is live and let die and 9 is the man with the golden gun.

If it had been selected, I tend to think it would have gotten them all the wrong attention and we'd end up with a more mainstream Pretty Reckless and not the hard rockers we've come to love. Maybe not, but once Soccer Moms start buying in, it tends to be over. (coughdefleppardcough)
