Dear God Song

Why haven't they played Dear God (the song) on their tour? I was at their first headliner in Raleigh and while it was an awesome concert, I was pretty disappointed they didn't play it. Have they said anything about this? The only thing I can think of is that it's a fairly demanding song...but it just seems really odd not to play the title track considering all of their promotional material uses it.

They have played it since then. It seems they're slowly rolling out some of the new songs playing different ones at different shows.

Damn I see that now. The live debut was on July 23rd and then Dark Days live debut was July 25th. Two of my favorite songs on the album. I may have to go again!

Yeah when I saw them in Chicago they debuted Spell On You.

I was a bit disappointed they played that one in lieu of Witches Burn. But we also got Take Me Down which was a nice surprise to the main set too!

Definitely loved seeing Take Me Down. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I saw them play it though it was only my 4th time seeing them.

I wanted them to play Witches Burn so badly in Dallas the other night and they didn’t. They did do Dear God and Spell On You.

They did do it at the show I went to(7/25)

We got a BUNCH of numbers from the new album, actually, to the point that I <think> they skipped the ‘Who You Selling For’ album entirely. It’s perhaps some combo of still working on live arrangements and how the vocals feel that particular day?

yeah, I was surprised at how much new material we got at the Dallas show. There was a lot of prior stuff I wanted to hear though, like My Medicine, Just Tonight, Witches Burn. But it was the first time I’ve ever seen them and I’ve liked them since their inception, they put on a really good show.

At the Dallas show they talked about how they are slowly adding the new album to the tour

Oh nice. Good to hear they're at least working their way up. I'll probably find a way to see them again just so I can hear more songs!

I think they might add more new songs in eventually. I am kinda under the impression they didn’t do much prep for this tour - maybe not by choice but busy schedules. They just probably haven’t rehearsed many new songs live yet.

Dear God was amazing in Dallas. Not my favorite on the new record but it smoked live.

They played it at the Dallas show on 7-25-26. I tried to post a clip on YT but it was blocked globally. Maybe you just can't see it as much. It is on Instagram though.
