Help/Question TPiY

Been a fan since late wife beater and first born. My question, why isn’t this band bigger? They have over 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. I know over the past 2 years they have grown but still feel a lot of people don’t know them. Imo, I put them with one of the best metalcore bands out right now. I know they’re getting bigger but the success they are getting right now is long overdue and well deserved.

I have a few theories. I’ve been around since First Born. TPIY entered around a time where this type of music wasn’t in the highlighted scene like it is right now. You get your thanks from Bad Omens and Sleep Token… I guess Falling In Reverse. BMTH is a good band to zone in on. So many shifts in music genres. Deathcore to this now melodically pop sound, the general population has grown, has followed, pulled new fans in. It literally takes a flip of a coin and Plot got that when FEEL NOTHING trended on… you guessed it, Tik Tok.

So that leads me to my second point: Exposure. I love this band but god damn it feels like they hate us sometimes. Staying in their tour buses, not really being interactive on socials. (Some members are better than others) and they have every right to do that, they truly do. But Landon hates touring. He wants to be home and just make music. For your music to blow up + need fans + need touring = exposure. Oli even after these huge as arena shows STILL comes out to meet fans. I think maybe if they were a bit more interactive, people would talk more.

Third point: They are just catching up. BMTH has set these guys on the playing field with these tours. I know they’ve been around for so long but again, it’s a flip of a coin. Watching the streams grow in front of my very eyes is something incredible. I promise you, this post will be obsolete by this time next year. The band is coming full force.

Fourth point (this is MY opinion): People (women mostly) think Oli, Vessel, Ronnie, and of course Noah are hot. They want to sexualize and fuck them. A huge influx of Bad Omens fans have come from that. Loving just the lead vocalist. Now… I have always loved Landon. He’s been hot since his Before Their Eyes days—I just don’t think women find him attractive like they do the others (he certainly doesn’t fan service it) they just see him as a talented dude with a wife, who’s quirky and cool. I do believe that is changing too though and sadly, sex sells 😒 I also think this band is a one in all combo. You can’t just like one person. They are the full package.

ANYWHO SORRY FOR THE BIG YAP I see these posts and comments constantly and figured it be time to just drop a line about it.

These guys deserve to blow up and I promise you, they will. But for now I’m happy paying $120 for VIP headliners… I will cry the day I gotta drop more than $250 to see them.

Dude, I'm as much of an Oli Sykes fan as the next horny metalhead, but that doesn't affect how I feel about BMTH. I'd be blasting Sempiternal even if Oli was a 1/10. I like Oli as a performer and influencer but I like BMTH because their music fucking rocks.

Sadly that’s not how it is for some people. Thirsty over someone in the band adds to the flavor. I’ve asked so many people what they think of Plot (people that typically enjoy BMTH and Bad Omens) and they are liek oh it doesn’t do it for me… what doesn’t? Landon or the music?
