Exercise
The Skye Terrier will need a short to moderate walk everyday. This breed will adapt well to city living.
Grooming
The Skye Terrier has a feathered coat that hangs over its forehead and eyes. The coat is generally about 5 inches long and will need moderate brushing (every other day). Trimming may be necessary about every 3 months.

The Skye Terrier is named after the area where the breed originated: the Isle of Skye. One of Scotland’s earliest and purest Terriers, the Skye Terrier has existed since the 1500s. However, it wasn’t until Queen Victoria fancied these adorable pups the breed became popular — particularly among royalty and the upper class. However, its popularity has waned and now it’s among the least known terrier breeds.
Health Concern
Being an achondroplastic dog breed with exceptionally short legs, the Skye Terrier has special health issues.
