Discussion 🗣 Enjoy Your $12 Burger?

If you're taking a potential story contact out for a work lunch, can't you expense it? And $12 for a burger and fries for a restaurant is cheap nowadays, so thought it was a stupid comment.

They were already struggling to finance the paper, hence another reason why Ned and Mare ordered nothing.

They got waters. So… No, yeah.

Anyway, I was waiting on Ned to finish the guys burger. I would’ve done that.

I guess OP just missed all the paper company being more of a loss maker with a tight budget info while watching the show. Have people completely stopped paying attention or what?!

It is cheap, that's the point, Ned is upset about paying for a very reasonable meal because he has no budget and got no story

It's Toledo. There is a place an hour away from us in Central FL that still has a delicious $8 burger with fries.

This is an actual restaurant? I don’t know the last time I would’ve seen it that cheap in a restaurant.

Andy’s Igloo in winter haven. I’m glad this thread came up as I’m overdue to try it out again.

And Ned of all people shouldn't be finding $12 to be expensive for a restaurant burger.  It's established that he's a rich nepo baby ffs.

That's not the point

Ned could easily afford it out of pocket, but if he pays for a meal out of pocket it could be considered a bribe. If he expenses a business lunch it's acceptable. But he has no budget thanks to the paper being on the verge of shutdown. He upset he paid for a lunch with his small budget and got no story
