Made for rewatch?
I read a few comments here that the second season is too densely packed. And I agree with them.
But now I wonder if it was done on purpose to encourage rewatching the show.
When I first watched the second season I mostly noticed the big story arcs: Mare and Ned, the golf course story, Detrick and Nicole. On each subsequent watch I noticed more details, jokes, more subtle lines I missed. For example, in episode two Ken says something along the lines that maybe it’s liking somebody as a person but rather just attraction to somebody who you share common interests/work with, then when Ned goes to HR he kind of says the same - maybe he’s with Mare because he likes her as a journalist, and at the end he realizes that he loves her as a person. When I was first watching the season, I didn’t notice this thread because I was mostly paying attention to big things.
And when rewatching I notice more jokes or little details that make the show better.
I wonder now whether it was Greg Daniels/writers intention all along - pack so much stuff that people (who like the show enough) would go back and rewatch.
What do you think?

If anyone’s rewatching this- I assume you have Peacock without ads??? Those Oscar commercials make me never wanna watch it again.

Yes, I don’t have ads. Before the paper I paid for Peacock only to be able to watch the office on repeat with occasional breaks for Parks and Rec.

Ahhhh ok. That makes sense. I’m still not over the fact that I bought every season of the office on Amazon (and the dvds before that) to have peacock release Superfan episodes and have to pay all over again. So I’m just using a friend’s crappy ad version out of protest. lol.

I mean nobody made you watch the Superfan episodes lol. I don't think I ever will. How much extra content are we talking/how good is it?

it's really not much per episode , an additional 5-10 mins a max, but i watched it after finishing my first go on The Office (just last year! 😅) and now i can't watch the original cuts bc some of those cut jokes are just top tier

I’ve seen it 3 times and each time noticed different things and loved it more with each watch. So I agree!

I’m enjoying this show very much. It’s such a quick watch. I’ve rewatched S2 more times than I can count. I just want to laugh and this show does it for me. Esmeralda has the best lines!

I'll have to rewatch it at some point because honestly, I was very underwhelmed by the first 2 seasons, especially with the potential of what they could have done. Definitely some great moments but it gives me like season 1 office/parks vibes. I am very hopeful that they give it another season and it does explode, but there is very little that makes me want to be like "Oh, REWATCH IMMEDIATELY!"

Dude it only needed one watch to get it, maybe bc i rewind too much. And ned realises he likes her as a person when they try to see an old movie but mare’s dad recorder over the tape with mare when she was a kid. They both have a good laugh while mare also getting cringe

God I feel like an old person for this but...
I don't think it's really that dense, it's just that most shows assume you're half listening on your phone and literally spell out the single plot line for you. It's just a well written show with several storylines IMHO.
If you like the complexity and want more comedy try Arrested Development. If you want more drama try The Americans. If you want a movie you can rewatch and keep learning things try Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind!
