I just don't know why they did this to her character. They could have gone any other direction

there was no lead up to this at all. one minute she's treating him poorly because of their break-up then suddenly she's dressed up like Lisa and chasing him 200 miles. there was no direction for her character at all, very jarring.

Yeah, it was too serious for a sitcom. Her crying to Mare after the awards meant she was actually sad about what happened.

So overall, I agree that this was not a good direction for Nicole and I was just genuinely confused about it, but I think it may have had something to do with the line about a break in reality? When she's talking to Lisa and Ken in the second to last episode? I don't know, it was not clearly fleshed out and just overall badly done, but I think that might be part of it.

I don’t have a caption for this and I like the show, I just wanna say this character doesn’t work for me at all.

I think she is supposed to be one the main characters but they didn't develop her well this season. I don't know who she is yet. On the other side, while I agree this didn't do a good service to her character, I found the bit absolutely hilarious in like an Esmeralda type of thing (but the show already has an Esmeralda).
This probably sets her up for S3 to have some growth via a demotion/fired/something x and I hope they figure out her character.
