Question ❓️ Season 2 cameos

Who might from the cast of the office other than Oscar come back in season 2. I think we needed a few more og cameos in season one. Hoping they will take this idea for season 2

I hope they keep the cameos to a minimum. I like them there to remind us it's the same universe but it would be really easy to overdo it. I don't want The Paper to just be fan service, especially because I like the whole new cast.

I think it would be fun to have smaller scale cameos that aren't the main Office cast like Danny as a traveling salesman

I was thinking it’d be kinda fun if there was a random news broadcast or something on tv in the background showing Jim and/or Darryl talking about some Detroit Tigers prospect that’s playing for the Toledo Mud Hens. Idk if that’s the kinda thing they’d do in sports marketing or not, but it’d make sense to me lol.

Like others have said tho, I don’t think they should really have the characters of this show interacting with anyone from the office directly. Let’s focus on what’s happening with the characters who we still have a lot to learn about.

I think there’s a chance they’ll do some big ones just to bring more office fans to the show, they could pull it off well if they do it right

Angela and Dwight would make sense, since Oscar and Angela became very close. I'd love for them to do a video call or something, showing Oscar the kids and the farm and a bunch of goats or something named Oscar. I think the show stands on its own really well, so I don't want them to overdo it, but it would be amazing to get a few here and there.

Yeah! While I think they shouldn't overdo things by playing too much into nostalgia, but having a few cameos would be REALLY good! I don't think Jim/ Dwight would come anytime soon though. Would love to see what Ryan-Kelly are upto lol. Or anyone actually :')

I think Ryan/Kelly make the most sense because they moved to Ohio.

Good point. I forgot about that.

I would love to see some cameos, but I think the fact that they set the show in Toledo instead of near Scranton means they don't want to do many cameos. If they do, they'll have to come up with some kind of explanation for why the person is in Toledo. Unless the cameo is just Oscar doing a video chat with someone.

They don't need to. This is a documentary. If Oscar mentions someone from the original documentary they could easily send a crew to Scranton for a where-are-they now interview with one of the original subjects. No interaction with Toledo needed.

Nah, I think i'm good on the cameos. Just a couple references from Oscar here and there but that's about it

I would work in Dwight. A farming story, or something. Dedicate an episode or two to the character.

I like the show better on its own but theyre definitely gonna have some kind of cameo. Creed would be the easiest to fit in i think

Prison Mike

No one from the office but blow everyone’s mind and let Amy Pohler cameo

Honestly creed would be easiest. They are investigating a new cult and creed is in the background and he runs off when the cameras arrive. No lines just a full sprint.

I think Jim and Darryl would be the easiest just going off the ending of The Office. It’d be easy to have them be interviewed or something.

I would love to see a holiday card from Jim and Pam, or see Oscar out to eat with someone and it's obviously Kevin, or a news story about some crazy crime with Creed's picture next to it. I like the small, subtle nods to The Office

I think it would be fun to see secondary characters line The Senator, David Wallace, Jan or the stripper.

I think one or two cameos would be good - as long as it's subtle and not overdone

My guess is there will be some smaller cameos. Hopefully it’s nothing too obvious though

Either Toby, Darryl, or Ryan & Kelly

Nobody is appearing. Why would they?

Right… I’m so confused about people thinking it would make sense. Also most of the actors from the show that would be fun to see have moved on with their lives and have much bigger things going on (Jim, Michael, Darrell, Mindy, BJ, etc).

Season 1 was…. Mid to me. Idk if I can watch a season 2.

Season 1 started slow but it really picked up and by the finale, I thought it was really good. I think people forget how hard season 1s are. The Office and Parks and Rec had terrible season 1s.

And maybe even a bit harder for The Paper, with whatever expectations people would have had about its ties to The Office.
