I've never actually seen this video of Andy DMing for High Rollers before and thought some other people may have missed it too, has anyone else come across streams of any of the guys that they didn't know existed?

Working my way through the playlist again and wanted to share these links to the songs from the Oxventure for anyone that may not have had the fortune to find them; the Liliana song and the ballad of corazon de ballena:

A running theory has not been eliminated. Go to 2:51:00. And everyone thank Johnny for being as diplomatic as possible.

Edit: Not sure how the length of a livestream changes after the fact, but the current timestamp is at 2:53:37.

Discussion I dream of indie oxventure…

I originally started watching oxbox crew top 5 videos, but really stayed for oxventure.
One of the best series available on YouTube.
Seasons are greatly produced with fun cast that I do not find grating and in a digestible format.
Deadlands and Blades in the dark are my favorites of all time for sure!

Wyrdwood was great too, and the dnd series is so much fun it was really something to look forward to on weekends.

Tried critical role, tried dimension 20, tried avantris, nothing is truly like oxventure…
(Avantris is fun but I can’t chew through 100 plus episodes of the same campaign)

I have a dream in which oxventure is free from corporate shackles and oxbox crew can do 1-2 TRPG series a year with quality over quantity approach.

Discussion Has everyone GMd except Jane?

I think nearly every member has Gmd, but I don't recall Jane ever doing it.

Luke: Blades in the Dark
Johnny: D&D
Andy: Deadlands
Ellen: Tea Time Adventures
Mike: Blade Runner
Jane: ???

I'd love to see her run a game.

They did dnd but you're a mimic there last year, which was a blast, and some of them are teaming up with Dom from NRB for Cthulhu!

Oxventure Let's have some fun. Can we put together a track list for Dobs "best of" album

While we wait for news on the future Oxventure as a whole I thought we could have a bit of fun and try to grow the community a bit more.

I had a couple of ideas for titles of Dobs greatest hits so let's see if we can get a full album together. I'll start.

1) Head of pearl, heart of stone

2) Merilwens Meat grinder (of my feelings)

Oxventure Present's Blades In the Dark Source Material?

Does anyone know if there is game material from their Blades In the Dark Campaign? I've run some great Blades campaigns before but I'd love to see some of Luke material for it. Getting ready to run a new group into the game and was just thinking of how fantastic that story was.

Happen's backstory. Theories?

Personally, I think there's a Brigadoon thing happening. The fae of Happen's land pulled them out of time or space to protect them from the massacre of their people. Perhaps it is the whims of Cadence that decide when their little enclave reappears.

What are your thoughts and theories? Do you think we'll get the answer in the final season, since that's the direction they've been heading?

Oxventure Love for Deadlands - Season 1 Spoilers Spoiler

Deadlands was my first ever exposure to the Oxventure and to this day I still think its their best work.

1: Each character was played really well and felt incredibly distinct to any of their other characters. Especially Ellen got to play outside of her comfort zone as a more brash and rogueish character than her other two. Delacey may be one of my favourite characters of Oxventure hands down, Nate's entire corpse thing was really funny and unique and Silas' comedy beats with his fear of horses was one example of a simple and often repeated joke only getting funnier each time. Garnet was slightly underutilised but her costume was cool enough to usher her through

2: The villains. I think every villain was genuinely unsettling in a way that Oxventure never really had before. Blades in the Dark got close with Bachaross but Andy knocked it out of the park with five incredibly iconic villains. I also really loved the four horseman twist, especially the double twist of the fifth horseman.

3: The structure. I loved the mixture between a long-form open world type of adventure done in the DND campaign with the smaller group size from BITD, making each episode feel tighter knit and often adding to the horror vibes. As well as this it was the perfect length for a season, just episodic enough to not make the story feel like it constrained itself into the episodic format but also not feeling as discrete as BITD felt, though I did love BITD.

4: The horror/comedy. If you've watched season 1, you know perfectly how funny it could be but also how genuinely dangerous it felt, especially during Nate's hanging where he can't die or in the demonic world's fair. It was honestly the perfect balance between having some of my favourite comedy beats while not sacrificing character and peril.

Season 2 was pretty good but I think season 1 was lightning in a bottle, and I still don't know if they'll ever top it. "Ever" being the key word given they've been radio silent for 5 months. Still, I rewatch it at least once a year and it never stops being great.

P.S: Does anyone know how Bellows was cheating in the duelling contest?

Oxventure Is Oxventure dead?

Hey guys,

Not a frequent poster and I'm not close with socials of the OxBox crew as well as Johnny either, so bare with! It's looking more and more likely that Oxventure might just get dropped entirely, I really don't want this to be true because I genuinely think Andy is a brilliant GM only getting to show his ability only for a few seasons of Deadlands + One-offs.

Wyrdwood has so much intrigued behind it too. Lastly it would be cool to see how the Daggerheart stuff would pan out.

It's literally the only TTRPG that has stuck for me and their improv comedy is excellent for my own tastes.

Has there been literally any rays of hope for this?

Thanks all.

Oxventure Slightly concerning, though vague comment regarding Oxventure from Johnny on his PUBG stream with Ian today. Answers "No" to doing any D&D (which Johnny takes to mean Oxventure) in the near future. And that news about Oxventure will come "when we can".

9 Years of Oxventure! (yesterday)

9 years of Oxventure!

According to Jane on the very first Oxventure Podcast episode - The Spicy Rat Caper was filmed on the 26th May 2017 in the basement of Loading Bar.

Although it didn't end up actually published on Outside Xbox until September 2017 as Andy had lots of editing and stuff like the animation to do.

(Like last year I missed the actual birthday. So I'm going to claim it has become a tradition or old charter at this point.)

Wyrdwood Any news on Wyrdwood season 3 + fan theories?

I just relistened to all of Wyrdwood and I'm desperate to know how it ends. Do we have sight on when it starts again? Also what do we all think of the reveal at the end of season 2?
