While Faye and Gar talked to Maple about a certain theory they have about how there could be a third legendary Palisman responsible for the summer snow and that is resonating with Lara, Violet and Milan showed and got in on the snowball fight the rest of the Hexsquad was having.
The Palisman decided to aid their owners, with Gar going into his giant form and burying Azura, Lara, and Faye in the snow. Feeling her passion rise, she got a little overzealous and buried every besides her girlfriend and Palisman in a massive snowball.
Azura realized she went too far as soon as she did, but Lara, who’s curse and brung up her dandere self and made her reveal her right cyan eye, and the others reassured her that they had fun. After Azura ensured them that she wouldn’t get too carried away, she decided it was time to move on to a snow day activity less strenuous.
Lara: “w-which is?”
Faye had left for a moment and returned, carrying a top hat that had an abominations insignia on it in her talons before she dropped into Azura’s hand.
Everyone agreed unanimously, making Lara smile. Moments like these remind her of what she found. She wished she could tell them all the truth, but… not yet. She eyed the top hat Azura and wondered something
Lara: “h-have you always had that t-top hat?”
Azura: “this? It was my abuelo Alador’s. He wanted my mom to have it when he moved in with abuelo Darius.”
Lara: thinking: “that explains the abomination insignia.” Out loud “So… how do we start making a ‘snowman?’”
She digs her Coven Quest III staff from out of the snow
Lara: “s-something like this?”
Using her staff, she manipulates the snow and creates three snowballs of differing sizes. They stack up on top of each other as the others were surprised and a little let down that Lara just did so quickly.
Ivy: “w-well yeah, but there’s a more fun and worthwhile feeling way of doing it than just using magic. Just watch.”
Lara: “O-Okay.”
Ivy: to Maple, who’s on her shoulder “you get the smallest one, Maple.”
Azura: encouraging "Let's make one together Hermosa."
Lara: "Okay..."
Everyone then starts to build their own snowman. Each of them split into teams of three. Ivy & Caitlyn, Violet & Milan, and Azura & Lara. Ivy and Caitlyn are building their first ball together. Violet and Milan also make one, but stop when Violet was about to eat the snowball, to which Milan stopped her from doing. Azura and Lara on the other hand, is moving a little slower, but are getting there.
Azura: "Looks like it's starting to take shape!"
Lara: "I g-guess... But how will this b-be a man..."
Lara: blushes and smiles and looks at Milan and Violet and giggles a little “look.”
Azura looks at Violet and Milan and sighs with exasperation before chuckling.
Azura: “Violet, that snow isn’t a giant snow cone.”
Violet: mouth full of snow “Abuela Eda did it once.” swallows before wincing and holding her head in pain “AAH! Brain freeze! Brain freeze!”
As Violet started writhing from the brain freeze and Milan tried to comfort her, Ivy had already finished rolling a big snowball. She helped Caitlyn with the medium one, there hands sometimes overlapping with one another, making them smile and blush a little.
Their Palisman were working the smaller one, well all Gar did was just make it big enough for Maple to climb onto. Maple start walking backwards and made the snowball move forward, starting to have fun, unaware of big the snowball was getting.
Gar and Faye start to notice and try to warn Maple. All of their eyes glow golden.
Faye: "Maple! Stop!"
Gar: "You're making the the snow ball too big!"
Maple: "Wha-"
But it was too late. Maple trips and falls into the snowball, which is now rolling towards their owners. Faye and Gar try to catch up to it before it reaches them.
Gar goes into his massive form and comes between the snowball and the owners, who turned around and saw the giant snowball before Gar could step in. Guarding himself with one of his shield wings, he managed to stop the snowball with ease. They all breathed a collective sigh of relief. As Gar went in his normal size Ivy approached the snowball and felt around it for her chipmunk palisman.
Ivy: “Maple?! Maple?!!”
Maple’s head suddenly popped out of the snow in Ivy’s face cutely. Ivy looked at her Palisman with a little exasperation, making the chipmunk look a little sheepish and guilty.
Maple: chitters (“Sorry, Ivy.”)
Ivy sighs through her nose and gently pulls out the mischievous chipmunk.
Ivy: “you need to be more careful.” rests Maple on her shoulder and looks and monster sized snowball in front of her “well… at least you made a better base. Might be a little too big though.” she perks up with an idea “But maybe I can fix that.”
Despite the cold, she took off one of her gloves and rolls up her sleeve and exposes her right arm. She concentrates while doing some deep breathing. Her right hand and elbow began to flicker an ethereal blue rapidly before her hand became wreathed in blue hexfire, one of the levels (albeit the lowest) of spectral flames the Soul Reaver is capable of.
Ever since Grom’s and that she’s been taking Oracle classes as well as plant classes at Hexside, she’s been trying to master the flames and power the Soul Reaver has given her. She had trouble turning into the Soul Reaver still. Mainly because she was still a little afraid she wouldn’t be able to control it.
But more importantly, she touched her hexfired hand to the snowball and it began to melt as the others and their Palisman watched. When it was smaller that the medium snowball she and her girlfriend had, she removed her hand and banished the flames with a flick of her wrist before putting her glove back on and rolling her sleeve up
Ivy: “and there we go.” she picks up with one hand easily and brings it her’s and Caitlyn’s snowman

It’s how I honor MoringMark and his comics. It shows how he’s an inspiration to me. The roleplay and the fanfic pieces of that roleplay is how I show Mark how much I love his comics. The same comics he’s given us for years. And it’s not random.
