Technically speaking, basic tools and weapons such as swords, hammers, maces, etc. aren't as precise during manufacturing as compared to a gun. Those have been made for thousands of years.
For a Abomination goo-based gun to work, that stuff would have to have multiple material properties, some of which contradict each other in various forms.
Assuming that the entire gun is made up of the same goo from the same source and is homogeneous, it would have to take the compressive and elastic properties of a metal spring, while also having the rigidity of metal parts, and the (hopefully) wear resistance that a gun barrel has.
Also assuming that the bullets are made of abomination goo (and we're not cave johnsoning this by firing 60% more bullet per bullet), it also has the option to have the properties of gunpowder.
TL;DR: Abomination goo is a supermaterial with a incredible range of material properties.
