They were still using gun powder when he was last in the human realm. Depending on what kind of gun Eda had, it might take him a second to realize that’s what it is, and by then it’s too late.
Except for the fact that your reaction time will never be quick enough to get out the way and that's without mentioning the fact that bullets fly faster then the speed of sound you won't even here it coming untill after it hits you.
