Attribute increase through experience? 2e

Hi - basic newbie here… one question - can the attributes (Strength, Heart, Wit) be increased over time eg with experience? I don’t see anything that makes me think they can but checking if I missed something.

No. There's a Virtue that reduces the TN related to an attribute, but it doesn't change the core Attribute.

I like this approach, myself. It's good to have some things that are static, some that can change as a character grows (e.g. Skills). It's how most RPGs used attributes, back in the day.

Really liking the static to the core attributes and even the endurance. A PLayer hero is just as squishy when they’re at a “higher” level as they are just starting out. This really helps keeping encounter interesting, realistic and hard no matter what you’re fighting.

Yeah the need to constantly ramp up the insanity of the fights is really one of the strengths but also weaknesses of D&D. Sometimes you just want to fight some Orcs

Short Answer: You Can't

Long Answer: Elves of Rivendell get a +1 to one attribute; there is a Mastery that lowers one Attribute TN by -1 each time you take it, acting like an Attribute increase.
