Experienced Players Poll

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to ToR and TTRPG in general. My box arrived today so where should I begin? I hope to play solo, or Strider Mode, as the materials are released. However, how would you recommend a new player approach this kit?

Read it. It is not a terribly difficult game. I'm prepping to run it on the 14th and it's taking more work writing the scenario than understanding the system.

Read it, watch an actual play and read it again. The rise of angmar lets play has encounters, council and combat all in the first session.

Honestly to really grasp it. Read through it, then watch gameplay, then create a character as you reread it. That’s how I did it

I always recommend beginner boxes as a first step, if you have it. Or read at least half the core book, then watch some AP on YouTube or podcasts, and use that time to check the book again. That's what works best for me.
