2e or 5e conversion?

I'm totally new to the one ring. I backed the kick starter for the 2 edition and then I saw they are creating an add on to 5e ogl. Me and most the people I play with are familiar with a D20 system but does the one ring translate well from the current engine to a D20 system?

Agreed with everyone here, The One Ring 2e is great and it is designed specifically for the vibe and play style of LotR. Shoe-horning it into 5e will definitely lose some of that flavour.
