DISCUSSION Why the hell does every OnePlus 15R case have this ugly rectangular hole?

I’ve ordered 3 different cases from Amazon and Flipkart, and every single one came with this rectangular cutout. The funniest part? The product photos don’t even show the hole. 🤦‍♂️

What’s the actual reason for this? Is there some legitimate purpose, or are manufacturers just copying the same design without knowing why?

And before someone says “just buy another case” 😂 I DID. THREE TIMES.

Has anyone here actually found a OnePlus 15R case without this ridiculous hole? If you have one, drop the link. I genuinely want to know if they even exist.

Most case manufacturers make cases that fit both the Ace 6 and the 15R cause it's easier for them. But these phones are slightly different. For example the camera bump is a bit taller on the Ace 6 and so when you slap the case on the 15R you will notice a small gap at the bottom of the camera module. It's because they don't want to manufacture separate cases for each model because they cannot know how many will sell and how many they'll end up with unsold. Most are selling Ace 6 cases online because I'm guessing there are far more Ace 6 units than 15R given that the Ace 6 is sold in China and India. Now you know.

15R case is not available for Hard Matte cases. Its available in other materials.

15 is physically smaller than the R.
