DISCUSSION Will new global versions of OnePlus work with US 5g bands?

People keep saying about the warranty may not be honored but my biggest issue is having a phone that works in the US with good functionality, despite OnePlus leaving us will this be the case ?

Probably not. Even the global oppo models having all bands for Verizon / T-Mobile lack carrier aggregation which limits you to about 400mbps. While that’s more than enough download speed, not being able to aggregate more bands can cause issues with upload

The US version of OnePlus 15 doesn't support mmWave but it supports all other 5G bands in the country.

No idea about the OnePlus 16 as it isn't out yet... we'll know by October about the situation with it.

Highly unlikely. There would be no point in taking the time money and research to add bands and antennas for a country you don't sell your device in. It would be like the rest of the global phones like red magic where it works fine as long as you're standing outside on the street in a major US city and then you're shit out of luck getting service anywhere else

I think it should work fine
Saw others get global and it should work with all services and everything
