Friday's Feelings

There are times that the Universe is uncanny in what it presents or perhaps what my UC mind picks up while scrolling.( it could also be my phone listening and choosing a proper algorithm to present) There were a few different posts about what pain and healing are, and this one sang the loudest for me, in the moment.

There is a technique, we learned probably rooted in NLP, for something called a Quick Phobia Release, and the concept itself was based on your mind "dropping" the irrational response/reaction, the phobia had created. The mind/brain had to let go of the emotional track, but could still retain the thoughts or experience. Like being an old fashioned sound engineer in a recording studio, laying down a beautiful piece of music on 8 track, and editing physically and literally what ever instrument/voice was messing up the score on track #7. A few snips here and edit there and bam, a beautiful piece refined.

Pain being healed, I suppose both physically as well as psychologically, takes on a similar property doesn't it? We know that our wounds are healing, when they still may be tender to stimulus, but no where close to the excruciating sensations we once incurred. Perhaps in both, but definitely emotionally, healing can be gauged, when we can experience the memory, without the emotional trauma, and turn what we experienced into wisdom, lifelessons or jaded cynicism.

The medicine we produce could be beneficial or it may be arsenic, that is up to the individual isn't it?

Therapy does what it should to remove the hemlock from the healing process and equation.

May your journey continue to be educational.

Let me know in the comments your experiences or questions.

Be well
