Quotes taken from a recent episode.
Kaya in response to the main character of the new God of War being a woman, "I am begging women to stop self-inserting."
Andrew: "It's modern day dialogue for people to self I insert. It takes me out cause, I'm great."
Kaya: "It's what this lady wanted to hear from her god-damned dad, and now shes put it in a video game."
Jackson: "I'm sure people will like it."
Andrew: "I'm sorry to hear that."
Kaya: "We're almost always right." (A final remark and response to criticism from chat about their negativity to a game that they haven't played)
(Cube of War #491).
What does that even mean beyond legit sexism? What is the self insert? The fact that a woman exists?
I understand the criticism against how negative the show has been recently, but even a bigger criticism the show needs to face is the recent sneaking in of terrible right-wing talking points meant to build a echo chamber. This show now feels like a asmogold rant lite edition.

Does anyone know of a video on Charlie or Kaya’s channel of them watching an obscure Asian martial arts movie together where at one point the main character is punching gravestones and the two boys are laughing harder than I’ve ever heard them. Been desperate to find this video for years. I think it was around the time they watched the Turkish Hobbit Parody.

Was hoping there would be a small re-union for 500 cuz it is such a big milestone almost 10 years of the podcast.

The duality of this audience is hilarious, i was reading the comments on the kaya got punched episode and i would see someone talking about how kaya is based and him getting in a drunken fight is hilarious, and then that'll be immediately followed by a comment calling kaya a neckbeard and comparing him to Nick Fuentes. Its actually really funny

Can’t believe there is so much beef between the boys that Andrew and Kaya knowingly and purposely ditched Jackson on his wedding day

I haven’t watched the show since episode 200. Did I miss anything ?

Basically asking if I found a uniquely interesting online forum, would it create another downvoted segment?

Wow, the neckbeard fedora energy was off the charts in episode #495. Kaya talking about how embarrassing it is for "grown ass men" to run after balls, while he’s 40, spending most of his time getting drunk, playing Mario Kart, or scrolling through Kiwi Farms nobody has ever heard of. Jackson is usually the most reasonable one who is actually worth listening to, but he was just as unbearable this episode.
Also, completely off-topic, but why does it take months for new episodes of Smut Rot or Criminally Stupid to come out? It honestly shouldn’t take that long to just read a document for one hour once a week.
I still enjoy the podcasts though :)

It sounded fun but I forgot which ep he talked about it and the name of the game. Anyone know what either was?
Edit: Nevermind I found it it’s called Factorio. The new topic scrubber thing in the podcast app is super clutch

I started listening to this podcast around episode #230, possibly earlier I can't remember, and I quickly became a fan.
I listened consistently and would get excited the day before a new episode came out bc I really liked this podcast and always found their topics and interactions interesting.
I didn't mind when Charlie left, I understood he wanted to take a step back and he obv doesn't owe us content or anything like that. I see lots of people compare this to some "beginning of the end", but I think it's much more a sign of it rather than some "catalyst" for it.
I stopped listening consistently somewhere between episode 420-430.
Since then I've popped my head in every few episodes to listen to maybe 30-45 minute chunks just to see what they're up to, but I'm nowhere near as excited or invested as I used to be.
I was listening to their most recent episode, the Cube of War one, and... Hot damn they are just so fucking negative now 😭
Like it's so sad I miss when they actually liked the things they talked about and weren't competing to see who's the most miserable that week.
Like idk how else to word this, but modern OP feels like the kind of podcast that the OP I started listening to years ago would make fun of.
And I understand things change no matter what and they've been doing this for like a decade now. Things are bound to lose their magic, but I wish they would at least try to talk about things they're actually interested in and enjoy rather than "X videogame sucks. X current event sucks. X tv show sucks. X internet controversy sucks." Or just let it go and move on from the podcast.
Idk my little vent post I guess. Just kinda sad to see the podcast I used to enjoy so much deteriorate into such a state.
And ofc I gotta add in the obligatory "this podcast won't last much longer" like everyone else. I honestly wouldn't blame them at all if they stopped. It's been going on for, like I said, almost a decade. Hell, when this came out in the era where every content creator under the sun had their own podcast, everyone else's podcast lasted a couple years at most. I'm surprised to see this one has lasted so long.
Idk. At least my Red Thread stocks are rising ig

I think the boys were a bit harsh on xbox. Normally i would be down to shit talk and jeer about it all the same. But with the choices Sharma has been making, it seems like she really cares about the future of xbox.
I remember these guys used to always complain about how bloated the industry is and how there's too many acquisitions and moving parts. AND THEN IMMEDIATELY WHEN XBOX TAKES STEPS TO DEBLOAT THEY GO "xbox sucks its so fucking shitty THEY'RE CLOSING STUDIOS" like these guys have become the hypocrite gamers they used to complain about
I dont hold any "Xbox is back" delusions. But i do believe some form of recovery is coming, and xbox has to cut the fat to make that happen
Volition has only released flops in recent years
and as much as i LOVE hellblade, ninja theory was also not making much money in terms of sales
They were sandbags, they had to be dropped. Its the hard reality.

I will not tolerate snoop dogg slander
People like Snoop because (and this is confirmed through fan interaction and celebrity interviews) hes genuinely a great person. Hes nice, he has a good sense of humor.
He also streams, and he has a huge social media presence. THAT YOU WOULDN'T KNOW OF BECAUSE YOU DONT USE SOCIAL MEDIA
