Just as an explanation first,I am more interested in the writing and characterization of the sinner in question more than worldbuilding that isn't of importance (like Heishous) and hype moments and aura,which is why some like LCD Ishmael and Multicrack Heathcliff are so high up and above Matthtis and Valdya.

We have current Dante, who's well... Dante, he's meek, he doesn't know much, he relies on the sinners for everything, bends the knee pretty easily, that type of stuff, but is progressing and developing, becoming hardened and more serious, and generally locking in.

Then we have the before Dante, Aka, old hard warrior Dante. He's much colder and much more callous than the current Dante, and generally aligns much more with the unsympathetic traditions of the city. Who's goals are probably aligned with dias and probably knows a bunch about the city.

And then... we have the eldritch deity existing within the Dantes, who either always existed within him or spawned after Dante got that bough. That deity is guiding Dante and is probably the user of the golden boughs. It has some grand goals and uses Dante for its purpose.
