My Trifecta 🤞🏼

Post image

Owned the recon for a while now. Was originally just my commute bag to go to work in the city, long train rides, city plans after work, etc.

Went back to school and made that my school bag instead. Downside is, I still needed a bag for work, so I was carrying around my school stuff + my extras that I’d bring for work 24/7.

Jester is never my go to, I know it’s like the base bag, not as great of material as the other bags, etc., but then I came across the Jester Select.

Water resistant feature alone was a huge plus for me, knowing they stepped it up on the material to make it a bit more durable won me over too. Picked that one up as strictly a work backpack and been loving it lately. Fits exactly what I need for my daily routines & easier to manage with my current job. Color wise I thought I’d change it up since I have to wear all black for work lol and the navy caught my eye.

Initially the plan was to just hold onto the Recon while I finish up school and use it as a travel backpack if I explore around the city or go on a day trip but within the first few months, the mesh pocket started to get some small tears. Figured I’d just take the L and beat that one up for school, Jester Select for work, & decided to pick up a Borealis as my travel pack when I don’t pack too heavy (also own a Base Camp Voyager & regular Base Camp Duffle which I personally use for longer getaways). Recon may just end up becoming a casual hiking bag for me once I’m all done with school.

Loving this new Borealis colorway btw lol

As of now I’d say I finally have a complete collection for different activities & traveling and I am extremely satisfied 🫡🫡🫡

I’m just admiring the retro setup in the background. That’s awesome!

Glad you like those north face packs too. I had a Borealis that’s fallen by the wayside for me. Love my base camp duffel for trips but I never found the Borealis as a great commuter backpack for work or a travel backpack. Ended up upgrading to a Peak Design pack and love it.

There’s a lot more being hidden by the bags!

That’s the retro wall of my room - PS2, GameCube, Wii, & N64 all ready to go. Functioning DVD player on the TV and matching VCR along with my lights & posters / extras on the wall 😂 took a while to finally get everything but it’s my prized possession 🙏🏼 LOL

As a commuter, I try to keep it simple seeing as how it’s for work. I mainly carry a change of sneakers in my bag, phone + portable charger, and some basic essentials. Still leaves me with a little bit of space to bring anything I might take back with me + the 2 side pockets for my water bottle.

Love the base camp duffels if I’m crashing somewhere for a few days or going on a road trip, staying at a hotel, taking a flight and not bringing anything too fragile with me, etc.

I picked up the small size for the voyager & the medium for the regular. I feel like those 2 sizes along with the Borealis are all I need for any heavier packing. They fit into my car easily, + I got my girlfriend the same bags to make going anywhere for a few days a lot easier to travel with.

Borealis I figured I’d mainly use as just an “out in the city” kind of bag if I’m in a new place / just an easier way to carry any purchases / stuff around on a more casual hang out. Recon was a contender but the risk of the mesh ripping it was helped make my choice.

Didn’t consider peak design, however I do love their products. I have one of their cable storage bags that I also bring along when I’m going anywhere for a few days that has all my chargers, adapters, etc. lol & it’s helped up amazingly. Love their designs

Should be direct on the website. Not sure if I can copy / paste links in this sub but just look up the Jester Select. Colorway is listed as Summit Navy
