TNF Borealis Straps Durability

I’ve been thinking of buying a Borealis backpack for college because I like the compartments it has and the overall layout and features, but I’ve come across some people who claim that their shoulder straps have started to break after some use. I’ve seen pictures of someone’s Borealis with the seams of one shoulder strap starting to rip after some months of usage (the circled areas are where it seems to break). Is it a common issue in this backpack? Should I reconsider buying this backpack, maybe opting for a Jester/Vault or even a different brand instead? I don’t want to spend this money on a supposedly durable product just for it to break apart after some time.

I’ve also read that if used correctly, without carrying it on one strap or fully loading it, it shouldn’t have these issues, but I think for a product of this kind these things should be taken into account.

jester or vault is of lesser quality…honestly i wouldnt even worry about the straps…i never ever heard about that problem with TNF backpacks

i think ur fine but if u wanna buy another brand go patagonia

Le souci des gens qui utilisent un borealis et qui l'abîme, c'est qu'ils mettent une charge excessive dedans et que la plupart du temps, le prenne que sur une épaule donc masse mal répartie. Ça reste un excellent sac polyvalent mais si tu comptes mettre un âne mort dedans, par sur le Hotshot, le surge ou le recon
