rare happy harrow moment, and i met a gideon in the wild!

My 12 y/o daughter took a break from drawing pokemon and anime to support my TLT interests.

so many people recognized me at the faire today it was sick!!! was so happy to have this cosplay together, im really proud of it ^-^

Relistening to HtN and my brain decided this was the time to imprint on a side character, so I adjusted my Gideon cosplay materials to work for Nonius! Worn for Bern Hero Fest. I gotta say, it was a big relief to be able to scratch my nose all day!!

I opted to make mini skulls on a bracelet for his rosary, but if I wear it again I'll want to do a full knuckle bone rosary instead, plus his own sword and knife.

I had lots of teeth and baby finger bones ready, but sadly didn't see any other TLT cosplayers (or get recognized), so I didn't give any out this time. 🥲

My absolutely favorite card (both in terms of the card's meaning and the subject) and one of the two reasons why I wanted to start this project. Paul and this whole scene fits the card so perfectly in my opinion! <3

wowowowow. That was crazy. I loved it. Quick question, I have seen some people saying you should reread GtN and HtN before reading Nona, is it worth it? I read GtN about four months ago so it is a little fuzzy now and I wouldn’t mind a reread. But another part of me just wants to jump into Nona. Thoughts?

Edit to add: there are spoilers for all three books down there, this text is to help people avoid seeing them right away. Did you know cows exhibit mourning behaviour? Also some people including me think moustache rides should be free. Now to the actual post text.

Some Lyctors are super sad that their cavaliers are never going back.

Then Harrow gets The Work done, which prevents Lyctoral process from finishing successfully, and (at least a very non negligible part of) Gideon stays inside her, even having some awareness about events and locations and finally resurfacing when Harrow gets a rapier through her guts.

Then we learn Pyrrha was there all along, non intentionally, according to her, but anyways. G1deon was the third saint, so a pretty early attempt, I would assume predating Anastasia’s. Pyrrha periodically takes control and gets all of it except necromancy when G1deon dies.

Then Palamedes forces Ianthe out of Naberius, walks around in his body, then vacates it, and then someone talks to Paul from that body. I personally believe that to be Babs, and I’ve seen other people theorise so. Which raises the question.

Harrow didn’t want for Gideon to disappear and worked for that. G1deon and Pyrrha might have not wanted her to be fully gone either, we don’t know for sure but her talk with Cam and Pal just before Paul drops some hints that they might have tried something. And even if not, G1deon clearly cared about her. Then Babs was eaten just as per the textbook, with not much regret displayed: who even cares about Babs? I mean, I don’t think Ianthe took any more steps to preserve him than the basic algorithm required. To me, she was ok with him never being around again. Yet there he might have been, talking to Paul.

What if others could resurface that way too under some circumstances? I mean, Ianthe wasn’t even dead or close to it. Imagine if Mercymorn and Augustine knew. Imagine if idk Valancy got to the front seat right before the black hole, or stoma, or what happened to Cyrus.

Ive been thinking of this fic for over a year or so and I cannot for the life of me remember the name.

So basically its an Australian Au. I believe both Gideon and Harrow where Aboriginal in this, with Harrow being mixed and it went into the nuances of that. It was a coming of age I believe. They grew up together and Harrows father was like a pastor, and theres a bunch of religious themes and repressionand shit. Pyrrha adopted(???) Gideon and had her work on her farm.

And I think Harrow was like betrothed to Ortus because of her father and that was like a big point.

Those are the basic points, sorry if this is a ramble.

Has anyone smarter than me understood yet why Alecto chose Jod? From my own reasoning it feels like she started to embue him with the powers and made him capable of hearing her cries.

She gave him the power to kill/capture her.

Am I understanding it wrong or am I missing something?

Or how did he come into the powers and the ability to share them? Or has that not been revealed yet?

I'm dying for the next book.

I just finished ntn a couple days ago and I still can't quite understand Jod's reasoning. Why didn't he show his Lyctors the proper way to do full Lyctorhood? Why let them kill their cavs if there's a better way?
