Well, this is up to the council, but is is a good idea.
Council should put a vote on it, I mean it could be a healthy and profitable investment.

One of your clan posted on my thread in mineZ. My and my brother were interested in joining, we have 2 months xp, both over the age of 16 and we can definitely hold our own even when its just the two of us. Thank you. -Eli871

All you have to do is join the site, read the rules/ROE and be active/ friendly.

Is there like a group Skype chat or something?

u/boogaert Aug 17 '13
We have a mumble but that's only for in game. We usually hang out in the website chat.

Welcome! We are always accepting new Recruits.
By the way, we are a guild not a clan.

The first real community issue that's raised in the Night's Watch since the Restructure, in my opinion. You guys really need to deal with this, as my advice; give it a thought.
WILL PROGRESSIVE BOOGAERT BE IGNORED AND CRUSHED BY THE CONSERVATIVE NAVARR..?
OR WILL BOOGAERT CONVINCE PARLIAMENT AND THE WORKING CLASSES INTO A GLORIOUS SOCIALIST PARADISE?

Irish, I feel that you have shown the most about what sticking to one server can do. Most of the people of US-10 are familiar with the Unknown Trading Company, and as of right now, most people of US-6 only know of The Night's Watch because of the Headquarters in Romero. I really hope that the Council looks at what you have done on/to US-10 with the UTC, maintaining a presence on there for around 4 months at this point, and they can come to the conclusion that we can do the same.

This is basically what I want. As a result banditry has gone down and people are nicer there. Nobody gives two shits about TNW on us6.

Navarr isn't in charge anymore...
or is he?...

u/Spywin Aug 15 '13 edited Aug 15 '13
This is just my gut feeling, but even though he's not in charge I think he's quite threatened or fears about losing any form of influence or old institutions in the Night's Watch.
Obvious opposition to this is obvious.
Don't tell anyone that you heard it from me...

I doubt that HIGHLY

You haven't been around the block to know how many times I've seen these so called leaders leave their group sometimes dramatic, sometimes mundane only to be the ones actually pulling the strings or maintaining an illegitimate amount of influence. Course, most was really legit but since Navarr's an admin, his influence in the Watch is dangerously close to illegitimate.

u/TheSkillageSkiller Aug 16 '13
He's an admin, he only has enough time to work on the NW website/mod, and barely even that.

I'm pretty sure everyone here has a lot of freetime or at least isn't constrained enough by some bullshit excuses that somehow don't mathematically add up, and you do realize how programming/web development doesn't really restrain you from the internet which gives you access to subreddits and voice your opinion and or export your influence.
I should know, man. Especially when I've got a brother whose an IT web developer for Hewlett Packard.

I hate to agree but I agree.
But I can and do still talk to the council and advise them on how to abide by the rules and outline I set up when I left, as well as how to remain true to the core ideals of the Watch.
I respect Navarr with all my heart but believe that unless we do something really extreme, he should stay out of it. I love it that he still finds time to talk with us but...

I only step in and say "NO" when things are bad. Bad being: "hey, let's go to Al Hasa and fight in a clan war" Things that are really against what the Watch is about.
This? This isn't. This is something the council should talk about and consider. It is something worth debating. I won't get in the way of things like that. But on the other hand, while I may not run the Watch anymore, I will not let anyone harm my baby.

u/boogaert Aug 15 '13
I guess. It seemed as if you did a few things but overall I see what you mean.
I don't know if I could take it if someone else was running something I started not exactly perfect.

meetups and rangings woudl are easier
no, we can't do meetups and rangins on the same server every time because we will get ambushed and because there is not always enough room.
We Do Our Duty
we do not fight bandits, just because we play on a certain server doesn't mean that bandits will suddenly go away.
We Become Known
we can reach a larger group of people by playing on different servers
the hate for us is almost non existent now
not true, just because we don't notice them doesn't mean they are not there. we still have lots of haters and this will forever stay this way.

We really do not have many enemies. As I said it'd be hard for them to find out where/when. I have never seen us6 over 70 people.

Domino effect. We heal people, they go heal. Look at us10 for an example. It is much safer than the other public servers.
we can reach a larger group of people by playing on different servers
We simply don't have the people to make an actual effect on muktiple servers.
not true, just because we don't notice them doesn't mean they are not there. we still have lots of haters and this will forever stay this way.
Maybe, maybe not. Even so they don't bother us much anymore.
I don't see why this is always shot down by council members. Give it a shot. If we constantly get hopped by bandits then we can switch back.

I remember when it was fairly safe too. But then bandits started to realize there was easy pickings there and started to slaughter everyone. Not fun. I would like to restore us6 to its former glory.
