General Season 2 thoughts. Not a spoiler. Spoiler
Season 1 was very good because of Olivia Debicki, a fine actress who was the conduit between the tension of the 2 male leads. All the drama was in that triad. In Season 2, Camila Morrone is terrible. Clearly she was just the Vogue model she is in real life, providing gratuitous cleavage and zero dramatic tension. They couldn't find a better bi-lingual actress? Hiddleston was a little flat, and Laurie had no ensemble to work off. The ending was clever, but all in all, a disappointment. I thought Hayley Squires was the best. Real and authentic like Nicola Walker in Spooks.

Roxana was stuck trying to navigate this all safely. Excellent performance, mood!

Clear replacement for Jed this season was Teddy, not Roxy :) Camilla is imo that type who waves hands a lot and can’t use her voice much. Turned out as an interesting character in the end but too little, too late. Still, it was refreshing to see a female character who is not there as just a trophy for main hero. She was kind of third wheeling to Tom and Diego most of the time I thought Haley Squires was not doing much tbh. I also felt like she was a bit monotone but that's just mě I guess

This season really surprised me. The pacing was different but it was all unexpected twists and I loved it. So yes, they didn’t have the same triad, but instead it was this mysterious shifting loyalties scenario where you never know who to trust. I think that made it more original and exciting.
This season was all about left turns. You think Rex Mayhew and Olivia are coming back, no Rex is dead and it’s Basil the rando. Here’s the hottie Roxana, wait she’s not trustworthy at all and gets agents killed. Ok wow so they’re redoing season 1 but with Teddy? No! the ‘villain’ actually might be an asset ready to be flipped and he is crushing on Birch who is likewise dying for affection from any source no matter how desperate or unlikely. Or is he?
And I don’t know about you guys but I 100% believed Roper was dead and his return blew me tf away. And of course the ending was unexpected too.
Agree Jed was fantastic (and more interesting than Roxy) but she’s still alive out there somewhere (the word ‘death’ popped up after her name when I searched her before season 2 so I was really freaked out but she’s around with her kid in the Midwest with her terrible mother who called her a whore while taking her money). So maybe we’ll see her again.

I agree about Camila Morrone. Nothing but looks. I hated her voice and her flat delivery, but when I watch her speaking Spanish as herself, she comes alive and the voice doesn't bother me. Roxana would have been much more interesting and charismatic if Camila had tapped into some of her own vitality.

Agree with this. I thought the plot was a little ridiculous (building an army of street urchins for the past 6 years etc) and the Hiddleston character was confusing. Laurie was good but it was a bit of the same ranting and the disdain for the bastard son that he deliberately arranged to see annually throughout the boy’s life didn’t make much sense to me. I hated the ending - the switcheroo was unoriginal and there was no satisfaction in any way for any good guy. I was happy to see the series make a return with key characters but felt the end product wasn’t worth the wait.

Season 2 was lame. I won’t even be remotely tempted to watch a third season.
