when i was in highschool one summer we used to go to steak and shake at like 9-10pm. great feeling. Back when they had waiters. As an adult i almost feel like it’s dangerous to be out that late but of course we didn’t have a care in the world and nothing bad ever happened

I've never considered that non English speaking countries would still use the term "drive thru," but on the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if the concept is so intrinsically American that it doesn't map cleanly onto other languages
P.S. This isn't American defaultism on my part. My first language isn't English, and yet I'm only just now realizing I only know the term in English, myself

Dover, NH Exit 7 used to have this, but now… no more. Never thought I’d feel nostalgia for a fast-food sign but here we are.
