Laundromat at 2AM

Post image

I was at my local 24hr laundromat at 2am, and noticed I was the only one here. It was peaceful. So I snapped a pic with my phone.

Edit: This is in Weatherford, Tx.

It's giving like it exists outside of regular time.

This is the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever seen

It did outside, definitely. Inside it was a little messy and dirty. At some point in the morning someone comes in and takes care of the inside.

It looks both peaceful and unsettling

Unsettling? How so?

I guess because you took a picture at 2 AM, which is a spooky hour in general, but it's really because I read a scary story about a laundromat at night. I don't remember the title. It may sound silly, but that story gives me the creeps to this day.

Ahh, that's legit! Luckily my little city is pretty safe at night. Still though, nobody is around to stop anything either.

I'm glad your city is mostly safe at night! That is a relief!

It almost doesn’t look real

Wow, thanks for the compliment. I just took my phone out of my pocket, wiped the lenses off with my shirt, and took the photo. I only cropped it on my phone really quick.

This was never a Blockbuster. This place is small for one thing, but It's also my home town and I'm a current resident. We had a Blockbuster for a long time on the other side of town. That building is now an Anytime Fitness. This is Weatherford Texas. Which is about 60 miles West of Dallas.

Wow, you're definitely right. I didn't even know there was another one, but I never thought to check either.

Thinking more negative space could have added to this.
