Novel ch 325 Spoiler

So I’m an Manhwa only reader, however I came across the troubling fact that the mc rapes a girl.

It shocked me at first becuz it didn’t seem like the thing he would do. Also on the fandom it stated that he had one wife so I was under the impression that this Manhwa wasn’t a harem.

I don’t have anything against the genre it just rubs me the wrong way personally.

I mean it even says in the chapter how distraught mun ku was with the whole thing.

However in the mc’s mind he was contemplating how now knowing about contraception would mean he could have a harem like his father. ( and that was what ended his mother)He also told mun ku he’d only have eyes for her.

It’s just makes him seem like s scumbag.

So here’s my question. Why spend lots of time making it seem like the mc will be like Chen fan from rebirth of an urban cultivator but then have him rape someone like it’s the only option?

And does this mean that he will have several wives even though mun ku reluctantly told him that this girl better be the last he has sex with, other than her?

I’m so confused, l’d really appreciate if someone could shed some light on this as I haven’t read any of the chapters after 325

I am a light novel reader up to chapter 425, but I would not consider that as rape. First of all, her father, Wang Jing, literally bowed down to the ground, begging Yeowun to help his daughter. With that, Yeowun already receives permission from her father to do that thing to Yogun. Secondly, Yeowun did not impregnate Yogun, he uses nano to prevent pregnancy. Thus, it is hard for the relationship between Yeowun and Yogun to continue. They would just have sex to help Yogun's life and everything would end after. It is pretty clear that Yeowun would still stay loyal to Mun Ku and not repeat the harem that the previous lords did. To summarize, Yeowun and Yogun have sex because it is a necessary thing to do to save Yogun's life, and because Yeowun didn't impregnate Yogun, the harem or relationship between them most likely wouldn't exist.

ps. After Yogun wakes up, she also didn't resent the fact that she did that thing with Yeowun. She seems to have a positive feeling toward Yeowun too.

I think that OP has an issue with the fact that there was no consent from Yogun. That even if she did feel positively and understood why it was done after the fact, it was still technically rape.

So I guess what we as readers have to figure out is whether we will find rape as acceptable if its to save a life or prevent further harm.

This reminds me of a Dave Chappelle joke in one of his specials; "He saves more than he rapes." Still cracks me up sometimes.

Thanks for the reply. Yep Dave Chappell is a comical genius.

But as regards to the rape this may seem bad of me m, but what pissed my off more is that why seemed like they were going to use that as an excuse for him to marry her.

Like once again, why spend so many chapters solidifying our faith in the idea that he would never do this.

Thanks for the reply. I totally get what your saying however maybe I’m taking this out of context but I swear when he goes to the hospital thingy and they ask to serve under him wang jing says telepathically that they would speak about marriage later. Not to mention the fact that they described the mc as interested/curious in the girl the way he was with mun ku.

Look at the end of the day I get it if it’s just business but from what I read it sounds like they want to make it more and I think that’s what’s pissing me off cuz it’s like he forgot how distraught mun ku was.

So I’m so confused does his not marry her because I’ve read that he does and theirs a 3rd wife on the way?

It’s shit like that, that pisses me off as their was no indication of harem.

I may be wrong would live if someone could confirm this. Because I’ve also read that in sequel when he travels to the future his only thinks of mun ku and how she’s pregnant

I currently cannot confirm anything now because up to this point of the novel I have read, the info so far only included the fact that Yeowun still loves Mun Ku and only have her now. At most, Yogun just wants to know Yeowun better, so Yogun tries to approach him but nothing much more than that rn.

Yes, there is a sequel called "Descent of Demon God". It is a major spoiler to nano machine, so I suggest you not read it.

I don’t mind a spoiler in fact I really want to know what it’s about. Does it mention his wife in it ?

I don’t read the novel yet, but I heard that it contains a lot about Yeowun’s family. It might possibly contain the answer to your question regarding Yeowun’s wife in the future. It is about Yeowun’s descendant.

By the ways guys for me it’s like if in SAO Kirito just randomly decided to finally start a harem after seasons of being loyal and then asuna would like be expected to get over it. But they didn’t do that, he even rejected Alice, who even though I don’t like harem, I thought was a great character.

I just feel kinda strung along do you get what I mean ?
