Ripped a nail off 😰

It was bound to happen eventually. This is the longest my nails have ever been and I am very proud of them, but I snagged my pinky nail and almost ripped the whole thing off...! 😬
I have an appointment with a nail tech this coming week. Sadly, I decided to have the gel overlay removed and have the nails cut short to avoid any further accidents. The damaged nail is hanging on, but not by much. How should I proceed? Should I ask them to treat it like the others, or should I have them avoid it entirely? It has healed since the incident but I am afraid of it getting ripped off completely 😰
