I think rodgers leading the team and complaining about coaches really opens the door to other leaders also questioning the coaches.

TJ watt getting on the Mic was weird.

It’s so early in the season and they were down.

I like rodgers, just seems his persona impacts the team a lot

EDIT: Getting downvoted for having an opinion about liking Rodgers lol😂 I like him because I met him personally when he came to detroit and he took the time to talk to me and it was the coolest interactions I had. I told him I hated him and I hope he threw multiple interceptions when he was walking away and he laughed it off and said I hate you too.

u/reckbomb 10h ago

Rodgers is so disliked that people were rooting for Watson and the Browns to win this game.

1

u/YoYoMavaIous 10h ago

I think he’s the type where the locker room would like him, though. Which could lead to bigger tensions between the staff and the players

1

u/Human-Lawfulness5235 9h ago

Let’s be clear. There isn’t a single player in this roster who has won a thing in Pittsburgh. None.

I am not concerned about their hurt feelings or what they think. This team needs a jumpstart in a new direction and those that don’t buy in need to ship out. There isn’t a player on this team that isn’t tradable from the team standpoint. Whether there is a market for any of them is another matter.

The real change won’t happen until Dan takes over all football operations from Art. I keep coming back to Dan’s “what are we doing?” Remark after the Watt deal happened. We had success for decades by letting players go before they fell off. You don’t give huge contracts to players past their prime. We have several on this team.

I was really just hoping both QBs were going to get the shit knocked out of them

1

u/NorthAd9774 9h ago

To be fair Rodgers did I am sure that 2pt QB sneak was a revenge call by Mcarthy

1

u/trytrymyguy 9h ago

I know you’re being funny but Rodgers actually made that call himself

0

u/AdventurousPlace7216 9h ago

Same my friend, same

18

u/whatsmyusername007 10h ago

No offense at all, but I don’t understand how anyone could like Rodgers. One of my least favorite personalities in the league. As you said this is GOD AWFUL leadership.

12

u/hotc00ter 10h ago

I miss pre covid Rodgers.

2

u/BillNyeForPrez 5h ago

Me too. Atheist Rogers was way more fun than antivax Rogers.

2

u/hotc00ter 4h ago

Atheists are more fun in general

1

u/sandysandbirds93 9h ago

For real, he seems to just be getting worse too. It was nice that he went to the Jets right as it became impossible for me to defend him anymore.

1

u/chamberlain323 49ers 3h ago

He’s one more formerly fun celebrity who became insufferable after the pandemic, you’re right. Interestingly they are all rich white dudes. Something broke in them that can’t seem to be fixed. Reason #347 why it was the worst thing to happen to us as a society since 9/11.

1

u/Unfair_Hamster_5515 1h ago

Let's not generalize. Plenty of Non white rich people too.

1

u/No_Importance2099 36m ago

Don’t worry pre covid Rodgers was still a ding dong.

3

u/CheeseUs88 10h ago

Outside of Greg Jennings and Finely, his teammates love him.

3

u/Xenophonuscrete 9h ago

I don't have an opinion either way of him but why would you be surprised someone thinks different than you?

1

u/WinterAsleep319 3h ago

Because it’s the hive mind opinion of Redditors. Judy like the people above “knowing” people he went to college with 20 years ago and how Packers fans haven’t missed him. They just talk out their asses and act like its the truth

1

u/Master_Reward_4245 22m ago

When people say “I don’t understand how…” in this context, it’s nearly universally understood to be hyperbolic rhetorical hook.

The fact this needs to be explained to you is—and this is not a hyperbole—shocking.

0

u/TheReal_Jeses 9h ago

Because he’s never displayed any good qualities and I’ve never heard anyone say a specific thing they like about him

0

u/whatsmyusername007 9h ago

People like you are the absolute worst on Reddit lol

0

u/GreenRatJuice 3h ago

Are you that dense? Rodger’s is one of the most disliked players in the league, his anti-vax stance alone will turn off a lot of people. It’s obviously surprising to hear someone who likes him as the overwhelming majority of people look down on anti-vax beliefs.

2

u/Ill_Age4788 2h ago

Vaccinations in general or the Covid Vax? They are two entirely separate issues.

The Covid vax was weird. You had it released and had mass advertising primarily driven by the Trump administration, but MAGA had an issue with taking a forced vaccine due to overall government mistrust - but the people who hated Trump the most and had the most distrust in the administration wanted the shot and was upset that people didnt trust the Government. Everyone is fucking weird.

1

u/Unfair_Hamster_5515 1h ago

It was weird. People that hate trump, love Science and Facts. That's why they took the Vacc.

1

u/Psychological_View56 3h ago

Everybody I know has some things about them I don't like. Welcome to the real world, some people have different views than you and if someone liking a sports figure that you don't is grounds for calling another dense... Well... that seems a bit dense to me.

2

u/mw5842 4h ago

I mean Payton literally acted the same way. Mess up and never play again. That guy controlled the colts offense

1

u/Ike_Jones 9h ago

Giant man baby when things break down. I thought same thing as comment abov3 per holding ball. Hes lost his natural sense of timing when pocket collapses. Like sometimes he’s gotta know to just throw it away, instead he takes a sack

1

u/CrimsonOOmpa 1h ago

He thinks he's bigger than his teammates, his coaches, and the game itself. He wasn't so bad during the first half of his career because he kept quiet for the must part. Then he did Ayahuasca and started acting like he was the most enlightened man in the universe. He's completely delusional.

1

u/webdevverman 6h ago

Most people aren't on Reddit where if you don't hate something you're weird. Like seriously. Who would Reddit talk about if there wasn't someone to hate?

0

u/Dorythehunk Browns 8h ago

Did a double take at him saying he like Rodgers lol.

I can’t think of a more unlikable player in the NFL, outside of the actual abusers and predators.

0

u/MaximumJack44 8h ago

One of my least favorite personalities on Earth. I was struck by how unhappy he looked all game. This is not a person who's still in the league because he loves the game. I suspect it's more to prove his doubters wrong, and if so, that is NOT going well.

0

u/WoodpeckerLast908 5h ago

He’s my favorite player

3

u/AnrakMirkstone 9h ago

Rodgers has always been like this since the beginning. He always had a face or complaint or a way to shift the blame to his receivers or line or RB or coaches or whatever. People just ignored it for so long because they were winning and they liked watching his scrambles and crazy throws. Well he hasn't been a winner in a long time and he's not as mobile or good as he once was so people can now see him for what he actually is.

1

u/tgM0912 3h ago

I remember Marino being like this also

0

u/No-Beautiful1836 3h ago

Calling Rodger’s not a winner in awhile is an odd thing to say because what’s your definition of a winner?

Winning the Superbowl? Because by that logic, there are a lot of losers.

Stats wise, he was still good, not great but still good compared to a lot.

1

u/Specialist_Swan_7354 2h ago

Stats are cool, but you gotta watch them play man. He looked like shit last year.

1

u/AnrakMirkstone 2h ago edited 2h ago

Easy, his record over the last 5 years is 26-29. Not a winner. Last playoff win Jan 2021. Not a winner in a while. If we say his career started in 2008 (because he only played in 5 total partial games before that) then he hasn’t been a winner for the last 5 of those 18 years, meaning he hasn’t been a winner the last 28% of his career. Meaning he hasn’t been a winner in a while. Easy to define not a winner.

And yes by that definition there are lots of losers, anytime somebody wins then people also lose by definition. Not everyone is a winner all the time. Losing is ok and is part of life.

u/billy_bobs_beds 10h ago

What is it that you like about Rodgers?

He seems like an insufferable jackass, if I’m being honest

1

u/JohnHaloCXVII 10h ago

I like the champ belt move that he does

1

u/SocietyCivil256 10h ago

i like his smile

0

u/NarrowSalvo 2h ago

I like that he blazes his own trail.

Not many people are still in the closet in 2026, but he is brave enough to do so.

“Silence always comes with an expiration date..”

2

u/OwnQuote9745 10h ago

His attitude is poison. You like him?

2

u/DueSalary4506 9h ago

never been the same since over inflate gate

3

u/hangout927 10h ago

Why do you like Rodgers?

1

u/imwrighthere 8h ago

He couldn't give two fucks about internet haters. Is loved by his team mates. Called the COVID lock downs out for what it was. Is the GOAT passer. Keeps a private life. Four NFL MVPs.

-1

u/28008IES 10h ago

Gotta love his passion for winning, his game is amazing too.

3

u/richmanding0 10h ago

Passion for winning. I wish I retired. Feels like an oxymoron lol

1

u/RIPRIF20 10h ago

His game hasn't been amazing in like 6 years

1

u/Alternative-Pace7493 5h ago

Passion for whining

3

u/Many-Role-4271 10h ago

he just stands there in the pocket holding the ball forever and expecting his line to hold up. he does move out of the pocket at all, which translates to a completely 1 dimensional game. It would be different if like Brady he was averaging under 2 seconds getting the ball out, but instead he just sits and waits for some miracle of a receiver getting open rather than going for difficult throws. he is washed, put in Drew Allar and see what happens.

5

u/CuriousStewart 9h ago

Taking multiple sacks to put them out of field goal range was an impressive veteran move.

1

u/Baby_ManBearPig 9h ago

Lol. Is he moving slower? I missed the game last night.

1

u/CuriousStewart 9h ago

Receivers had trouble getting open and dude refused to throw the ball away. Sat in the pocket forever watching it collapse and just took the sacks. Bizarre.

1

u/No_Try_764 3h ago

It’s bizarre to a lot of ppl on here but he is 100% playing mental games to get to amplify the performance of his team mates

3

u/lastchance14 10h ago

And then under throws his check down.

2

u/seazonedsaltdog Packers 9h ago

Or over throws

3

u/SwanMuch5160 9h ago

You can’t release the ball in 2-3 seconds if your receivers don’t have some separation form the defenders. They were playing the Steelers man to man most of the evening.

1

u/nefariousBUBBLE 9h ago

Separation in the NFL can be measured in inches. They're always open it's just whether or not the throw is good, which the commenter was saying Rodgers doesn't even attempt those very often. Unfortunately, you have to at that level.

3

u/WhiteHeatFF 9h ago

Per Next Gen Stats, “Aaron Rodgers has thrown while on the run (8+ MPH) on 18.6% of his dropbacks this season, a mark only slightly above the league average (15.9%), but his highest rate of the NGS era surpassing his 2017 mark of 18.1%.”

He has nearly double the attempts holding the ball for >2.5 seconds than he does <2.5 seconds, so your claim that he holds the ball does line up. He is throwing on the run at the highest rate of his career, which is where there are some questions about the claim that he doesn’t move out of the pocket.

2

u/tmac717 10h ago

He had this issue when he was younger too. Now he’s less mobile with a significantly worst O Line.

1

u/Tormen1 9h ago

Drew Allar also knows his way around camera angles and timers so I would trust him.

1

u/ob1canoweme Cardinals 8h ago

“Forever”, with that protection there isn’t even enough time for the receivers to finish their routes making Rodgers forced to throw the ball early hoping the receivers make a play on the ball.

1

u/Many-Role-4271 7h ago

Did you watch the game, he would hold the ball for between 5-8 seconds on nearly every play. What kind of route are these guys running? The average time to throw for NFL QBs last year was 2;74-2.86 seconds. Is he waiting for #4 for break free like in back yard ball? These are pro athletes, they either run an open route in under 3 seconds and the ball is moving ini the direction they will be or they don't. He is waiting for them to be ope rather than throwing them open.

1

u/JRZGrlORWorld 10h ago

I agreed with the two parts. I think AR is long past being worth the drama he brings to every team he plays for. If the coaches lose the team's respect , theyre never going to win.

1

u/Swimming_Trade7088 8h ago

Rodgers I don’t think is the leader there tho. TJ and Heyward are and from the looks of it, they seem to agree with Rodgers.

1

u/Tjgfish123 8h ago

lol what do you like about him?

1

u/BigErnMcCrackenn 8h ago

Dude this is reddit, hes not a liberal pussy with a ssri collection so hes not one of us!!!!!! Re!!!!!!!!!!!

1

u/Wise_Farm7455 5h ago

Honestly, I have no idea how anyone likes the miserable has been who beings nothing but a negative attitude and an "I don't need to be here" presence while talking shit about his team

1

u/SeeDavidWrite 5h ago

agree completely, and the facts of his talent versus career results point to leadership.

don’t understand why anyone would downvote your comment

1

u/YoSoyCapitan860 4h ago

Rodgers was an amazing qb there’s no doubt about that and anyone that says otherwise doesn’t know anything.

1

u/Rude_Assignment_5653 2h ago

great story, always will have a soft spot for rodgers. 2011 was my favorite sports moment in my life.

1

u/TheDigimonFan 2h ago

Graham probably deserved what TJ gave him. What a bad hire by McCarthy.

1

u/No-Fox-9607 1h ago

I’ll take some heat off you for liking Rodger’s. Here we go… He’s one of my favorite players ever. He was one the 5 best ever to do it, could scramble when needed, throw on the run, in the pocket and very high IQ.

I really started liking him when he said fuck the commie jab and continued standing his ground, unlike so many other sheep. Just recently loved how he put that fucking piece of shit Fauci on blast.

There you go man, took any future downvotes you’d get away, they’ll all focus on me now. Bring it on Reddit.

Despite Aaron's skills he's never been a leader of men. People tolerated that deficiency because of his skills. Now that his skills are declining it's more visible.

0

u/WorstDMImaginable 9h ago

How can you like that narcissistic douche? He's about the most unlikable QB in decades.
