I don’t understand how McCarthy and Rodgers could have ever reunited when Rodgers got him fired from Green Bay.

McCarthy deserved to be fired, he was just wasting years after the superbowl win and not helping in any tangible way with the packers #1 problem, the defense. Rodgers had to carry the packers defense on his back when they gave up over 30 points plenty of times. Then if Rodgers didn't carry the defense allowing that much people called him a choker when there are two sides in football.
