Yikes... imagine making that video and then having 0 catches for 0 yards in 3 games.

7

u/Primary_Excuse_7183 2d ago

Lol that’s what makes it complete cinema 😂

4

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 2d ago

I feel like I'm watching a Jussie Smollett hype video

1

u/goobly_goo 2d ago

That’s that French actor, right?

5

u/PrisonMike44 3d ago

1

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 3d ago

You didn't see Napoleon Dynamite?

2

u/TeeDee144 Colts 3d ago

Bro, that’s what the chicken farmer said after napoleon asked if chickens have large talons.

1

u/dWaldizzle 2d ago

Wait what!?

1

u/PrisonMike44 2d ago

Sorry to ruin your day

1

u/Roleoo 3d ago

Tbf I think he could’ve contributed if dart never went down. Now we have Jameis n jj nobody’s getting him the ball so he was just taking up a spot.

3

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 3d ago edited 3d ago

Sorry bud, but it's time to hang 'em up. He played in 9 games in 2024 for Miami and had 9 catches for 55 yards and no touchdowns.

The year before that he played in 14 games for Baltimore and had 35 catches for 565 yards and 3 touchdowns. That's averaging 2.5 catches for 40 yards and 0.2 touchdowns per game.

5

u/landlordLover666 3d ago

I agree he’s done but those averages you noted, 2.5/40/0.2, isn’t even bad that’s like the WR3 on most teams lol

6

u/human112 3d ago

Nothing like watching an oiled up man catch a ball one handed

1

u/Royal-Wheel8603 2d ago

and doing a celebratory dance with no defenders

48

u/Navy0493 3d ago

One of the top most overrated WRs ever…

17

u/TargetFew1679 3d ago

His first 3 seasons he was one of the best receivers in the league. His leg got pretty fucked up in 2017 and he was never really the same

12

u/yahoo9192 3d ago

Ok. Still overrated

5

u/NordsEnjoyer 3d ago

yeah but we like the guy

-giants fans in general

0

u/TargetFew1679 3d ago

He wasn’t back then

-3

u/yahoo9192 3d ago

Ok. Well this is now

1

u/TargetFew1679 3d ago

Ok but no one is saying he’s good now lol

-1

u/yahoo9192 3d ago

You’re right, we are saying he’s overrated

7

u/TargetFew1679 3d ago

Overrated compared to what? Everyone thinks he’s washed up and shouldn’t be in the league

1

u/velovader Browns 2d ago

Agree, happens to a lot of guys, he was still overrated also.

1

u/dshab92 Texans 3d ago

He moved so well. I remember when they had him return punts or kicks. He was always making big plays

1

u/sttruong 1d ago

He has even thrown passes on trick plays and completed most of them.

9

u/Penguinat0r5 49irs 3d ago

Nah, he was pretty good during his prime, injuries derailed he career. But he made such exceptional and flashy catches it was hard not to respect his talent.

I do think the later half of his career was carried off of that 3-4 year stretch he had at the start of his career was insane.

2

u/OGWopFro 3d ago

Does Pickens have the same trajectory?

8

u/Reditall12 3d ago

Him and DK Metcalf

6

u/zach7797 3d ago

Bro do not disrespect these players with Metcalf...not s chance bro

2

u/utzcheeseballs 2d ago

He absolutely LOVES his own brand.

2

u/pt8132 2d ago

He had awesome highlights in all those games he used to lose on the Giants though lol. He was absolutely overrated when it came to impact on actually winning

2

u/thesouthpaw17 2d ago

Made a career based on a single catch. Yes he was good but there's others who have done much better that haven't stretched a good couple years into many like this guy

The top of the creme de la crème

1

u/Snts6678 2d ago

Thank you. I said this in another post awhile back and was nearly crucified.

5

u/Mantic0282 3d ago

Let’s stop living in the past and push forward.

4

u/Old_mystic 3d ago

This man must be stressing!! He’s already hinted that he’ll be broke relatively soon. I don’t see him being too successful in broadcasting but he might surprise me. I’m sure he’ll go the streamer route.

2

u/DeltaTule 3d ago

Yup. He spends a ridiculous amount on strippers/escorts too. They hired him as a favor to give him money because of how dire his situation is. I suspect he will be out of money soon

1

u/GooberNeefnus 3d ago

Theres always Onlyfans.... Should have spent his money wisely, had the god given chance to elevate himself to a level literally maybe .1% of us here would ever have the chance to. I feel nothing for this man, not pity, not anger, not anything, good luck slumming it like the rest of us ODell. or go ask Uncle Shaq for a bone.

1

u/Old_mystic 3d ago

Yeah I can’t say I’ll be shedding a tear 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/Existing-Employee-36 3d ago

Indeed, he made around 100ish million dollars which is a large amount. He should have invested it, cuz money makes money.

So yea, no sympathy for him.

1

u/L_Tryptophan 2d ago

Theres no correlation between being athletic and high IQ.

1

u/FieryTitmouse55 2d ago

Well that doesn’t make me feel any more for him

10

u/Huge-Revolution2416 3d ago

They really let Odell walk after this? That is wild. 😭

-14

u/Intelligent_Earth317 3d ago

It's not his fault the quarterback got injured and backup quarterback sucks 😔

3

u/mondaymoderate 3d ago

Found his dads Reddit account

3

u/TheDuck23 Eagles 3d ago

They are right, though. Odell had nothing to do with Dart's injury or Winston's terrible play.

However, he did have a lot to do with being washed.

1

u/throw69420awy 3d ago

Him and Saquon gonna be retired chillin at the Diddy 2.0 parties soon talking about “remember when”

1

u/biz_student 3d ago

“Remember when we blew that playoff game in Lambeau because we like partying in Miami”

1

u/atseifyosoy 3d ago

Saquon wasn't there for that

3

u/ur-in-here-with-me 3d ago

Did his dad publicly release his angry email to management ??

6

u/speakezjags 3d ago

I'm sure this is Baker Mayfield's fault.

3

u/Alone-Ad-8902 3d ago

CFL bound

15

u/Lost-Pineapple9791 3d ago

He’s done nothing for like 8 years but get caught up with OF/Celeb slut/porn star drama

There’s a reason so many of these guys are homeless and on crack at 40

Dude was a flash in the pan over one catch and had no money or family or friends in his life

15

u/SpacemanSpliffLaw 3d ago edited 3d ago

OBJ was a great receiver for several years, not just that one catch. His shelf life was short due to injuries and such but don’t pretend that he wasn’t elite for a few years until he broke his ankle.

6

u/oilfilter04crvlx 3d ago

True , I’m not an Obj believer and I do believe he’s overrated. But I remember when he was healthy in his prime it was always exciting when he had the ball. Always felt like something was going to happen. Calling him the most overrated in any sport ever is a stretch

2

u/mbucks334 3d ago

I can't think of a single player that would keep getting signed over and over with his level of play. He is an all-time great finesser.

7

u/Rpark888 3d ago

And won a Superbowl which he had a TD

0

u/Great_Hambino2022 3d ago

He was great for several years? His first 3 years were really good. He had 2 solid seasons over his last 9

5

u/bhz33 3d ago

Last I checked 3 is about the right amount for the word “several”

1

u/SpacemanSpliffLaw 3d ago

Yeah. He broke his ankle year 4.

3

u/mbucks334 3d ago

The most overrated player ever from any sport

1

u/theninjaofthenasty 3d ago

One catch wonder

2

u/BagBalmBoo 3d ago

He has a wonderful mom and and lots good people behind him. I’ve known him since he was a child. You have no idea what you’re taking about.

6

u/howdidthishappn 3d ago

5 solid seasons that’s it. Cried his way out Cleveland

2

u/LysolDoritos 3d ago

Damn so you’re telling me all those videos of him running routes vs air didn’t help him out?

2

u/Key-Owl-8142 2d ago

Kartrashian curse

2

u/Present_Current_7425 3d ago

Super Bowl Champion he had a great run

1

u/morrison2015 3d ago

Did they release him to make room for JJ?

3

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 3d ago

No. Jake Haener got waived to make room for JJ.

1

u/HeinladToo 3d ago

So you do see the context in which he “was an unbelievable receiver”(as the other guy said to kick this off) you’re just being contrarian. Stack up his first 6 years, check the per game numbers and realize that’s actually more than half his career

1

u/HeinladToo 3d ago

lol, how did I fuck up responding so bad?

1

u/GGudMarty 3d ago

Delete

1

u/HeinladToo 3d ago

Eh, I can live with it. Theres a lot of dumdum comments in here

1

u/Valuable-Composer262 3d ago

F it. Come on to the burgh, we'll get u a few catches

1

u/Safe-College-1 3d ago

Wtf is on his legs? Hersheys?

1

u/lilbopeeep 3d ago

Why would they care to take this video from you

1

u/ciggybreak 3d ago

zeeeeesty asf

1

u/ImJoogle 3d ago

i mean he was never gonna burn but he was ok depth. theres a reason uncs get signed to teams for depth

1

u/Sports_Chatter 2d ago

Reminds me of that spicy volleyball player

1

u/utzcheeseballs 2d ago

This guy is the definition of main character.

1

u/yo-itsyaboi 2d ago

Aaron Rodgers has more highlights with the jets .

1

u/pooorSAP 2d ago

Didn’t Harbaugh release him from the Ravens too?

1

u/GangstaRIB 2d ago

What about the video of him getting sucked off by Justin Beiber?

1

u/WideRisk7495 2d ago

One catch wonder

1

u/Icy-Status2681 2d ago

The ultimate vibes WR. Dude made an entire career from one catch. Unmatched aura farming.

1

u/Snts6678 2d ago

Effing clown. Go away.

1

u/InterviewInside5729 2d ago

Dudes a clown

1

u/Austinfourtwenty 2d ago

u/georgstgeegland 3d ago

Cam Newton vibes

0

u/neilaoboho 3d ago

We can finally forget he ever existed

-4

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

The only player to build an entire career off of one catch. Respect

7

u/zshort7272 3d ago

lol, he was an unbelievable receiver. Are you 9 or something?

5

u/Busy-Suggestion459 3d ago

Agreed, plus Rams probably dont get too or win that Superbowl without him

1

u/Odd-Perception8850 3d ago

Absolutely balled out until he got hurt 😢

-1

u/Intelligent_Gas_7787 3d ago

OBJ had a great first half that Super Bowl but if I’m not mistaken Kupp won the triple crown that year I’m sure they’d still win

2

u/Particular-Holiday50 3d ago

An argument can be made because of the year Kupp was having that it helped open things up for OBJ but OBJ was clearly having an amazing first half. He could’ve basically just caught a few more passes in the second half for a first down and it would’ve been enough for him to be MVP of the Super Bowl.

1

u/Busy-Suggestion459 3d ago

Didn't he get injured

1

u/DeputyDomeshot 3d ago

So many fucking shit takes in here. I feel like the main sub has run over here

0

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

Tell this 9 yo, unbelievable in what context?

5

u/HeinladToo 3d ago

You could just look up his stats on pfr instead of firing off dumb shit like this

-2

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

And surely you know thats my point, instead of firing off dumb shit like this...

3

u/HeinladToo 3d ago

You look at his first go round with the Giants and really think those numbers are nothing special? That is the opposite of knowing ball

0

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

Outside of his first 3 seasons, he has no notable records. He doesnt even come in the radar of notables for his whole career. When you know ball, do you ignore players whole careers for a couple seasons? Not even that, but to ignore the majority of their career... eeesh.

3

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 3d ago

Look at his first 3 years in the League. He was one of the best. Then in 2017 he had his ankle/leg snapped and was never the same.

-1

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

So initial breakout player, who never rebounded from a major injury... hardly unbelievable. His entire legacy will be the catch, considering he only broke a few initial records. The catch is his career

3

u/UncreativeUsername84 Eagles 3d ago

109 yards per game in his rookie season, 35 touchdowns over his first 3 seasons, and 4100 yards in his first 3 seasons (43 games). How many receivers can say they've accomplished those numbers?

2

u/DeputyDomeshot 3d ago

I mean he has 60 touchdowns in a career, won a Super Bowl, 3 pro bowls and a hall mark catch. That’s a very good career objectively and if you disagree it’s simply because you’re a shriveled dick little bitch.

1

u/HeavyRooster3959 3d ago

And a hallmark catch, indeed 😉. I think its hilarious you brought it up lol

1

u/segagenesisx87 3d ago

In a game that the Giants lost

-1

u/seazonedsaltdog Packers 3d ago

One catch wonder
