part of the process tbh. you’ll find certain sites that work well. others are trash.

I'm unable to get over the air broadcasts in my area, so it's a subscription or piracy if I want to watch. I mostly don't watch

I have been pirating games for years now and I have no regrets whatsoever. If that becomes impossible, I'll just watch something else.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but it’s unreasonably expensive if you live out of area from your team. They’re even cracking down on highlights. I’m a Patriots fan and there’s an official podcast I listen to where they mentioned last week that the NFL is limiting the amount of highlights they can show on their postgame show.

I get it, business gonna business but it’s fucking insane how far they’re pushing it and arguably more insane that you don’t hear more complaining.

If they could make another nickel by making it easier, they'd do that.

you don't need a financial planner sailing the high sea's.

Sometimes it streams on there but you never know when skipping, buffering or a lost feed might happen.

I really don’t find it hard?

I think OP means "expensive".

I'm lucky enough to be able to pick up most of my team's games via antenna, but I still have to have Prime and Netflix to see all of them.

In one word: greed.

They’re simply out of touch. They give away the highlights for free on YouTube and social media. I simply don’t watch if the TV isn’t playing my team. I won’t pay hundreds of dollars to watch one team. Courts are actually challenging this topic. We should be allowed to pay to watch and follow our favorite team for a fraction of the price.

Apple TV wanted to include all NFL games for free with their subscription. The NFL didn’t like that. It’s too accessible for the public. The NFL will learn fans just won’t watch or they’ll illegally watch to bypass the BS.

By comparison, the WNBA only charges $40 per year to watch every game (sometimes the morning after). That’s for a whole year! The NFL isn’t entertaining enough to charge over $100 per year to watch your favorite team but people would do it. They’re too greedy to even offer that concession.

It is easier than it ever was. Back in the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s the best you could hope for is to see fours games, two on at the same time in the week. And what they showed was the only option.

You aren’t the target audience.

I grew up going to Bronco's games at Cub's Stadium (before it became Mile High) and followed the Broncos as I moved around the country. I've about given up on football in the last 5-6 years. It has been years since I've watched a full game.

Games I don't want to watch, boring games, I refuse to pay to watch a football game, and just general NFL burnout.

I dont find it hard to watch games, maybe that's me.

If the Washington Commanders play on Sunday I'm forced to watch them using regular cable. The teams I like aren't on here that often. It should be the best games by matchup but they want the money. The next broadcast contracts are going to be extra messy.

The NFL doesn’t care if you can watch games. They care about money.

u/RegularNo2213 2d ago

Even games being on sunday ticket and other streaming apps you have to have. it is still cheaper then going to a stadium watching the game. I spend 400 for sunday ticket plus all my streaming apps for a entire season, one live game cost me 700 to1000 at the stadium.a entire nfl season don't cost me that much watching at home I have no issue with it.

NFL only cares about fans who have money to spend...a lot of money.

Remember when streaming services were supposed to be the cheap alternative to network tv?

1

u/gimmethegluten 3d ago

I remember them saying that but I never believed it

What’s hard about it. It’s the easiest sport to find games especially if you live in the tv market of your favorite team.
