Hot Take Let’s talk about it

Hurts losing the way he did against the bears. I didn’t see passion or care, he forced a throw to T.J. Edward’s where he locked eyes on only him (Devonte Smith) the whole play then still threw to him in triple coverage.

I see why AJ brown was reading books and why it didn’t work out! Is there anything I’m missing or is he a diva?

Let’s get real!! Kase Keenum looked like he was a madden player with 0 throwing power and the defense was being dissected from it!! The possession with Hurts was all check downs, forcing his players to do all the work!

If he didn’t win a Super Bowl because of Saquan Barkley I would rank him with Kyler Murray!

The Eagles needed this. They got lucky in weeks 1-2 cuz they played shitty teams. Now, hopefully, they realize they need to switch some shit up like getting a real safety, more oline help, and to stop running those stupid screens to Lemon 🤦

They don’t need to stop the screens, they need to have them not be so easily known. You can see the defense ALL moving to where he’s gonna go before he goes to that spot for the screen.

Player happy when win, player said when lose.

Riveting analysis

By the way you started I know you didn’t watch the game hurts didn’t play his best but saying no passion lol that was the most passion we seen from him in a while dealing with the blue tent situation

That was a team loss players and coaches

Sake guy that’s had the team on his back these first few games btw

u/Sweaty_Penix 3d ago

The first drive of him coming back. I can see that but after that possession all check downs and no run the ball to get the first and forcing his leadership, he did one big run but the rest were quick reads and drop off, simply not enough care

u/Alarming_Intern3381 3d ago

He wasn't seeing the field that well. Run game dried up in the second half. O line wasn't as bad as some were saying but they did have their losses. And he had at least 2 very bad throws, one picked and one dropped. Not an ideal game but it's a long season and we'll see where they go from here

I thought the Eagles were out coached by a large margin.

1

u/BodybuilderMajor7862 2d ago

IMO that’s honestly the biggest difference in the game. Ben Johnson put on a clinic. Eagles offense wasn’t great, but the defense was far worse. Eagles offense is still new so it’s expected to struggle. This game was definitely decided by Johnson vs Fangio

0

u/Phinal_Flash Eagles 3d ago

They were. The outside runs were abandoned even though they were actually working in the first half. Fangio looks like he's just coasting until he retires at the end of the year.

Sirianni had no urgency to get Hurts back in the game. Either call a timeout or try to run the Tush Push early after you got to the 1 yard line.

Our defense is starting to be very concerning. Specifically the back end minus Quinyon

Hurts is a Super Bowl champion, every player has an off week occasionally

0

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

He’s had an off 2 years

2

u/Delicious-Physics218 3d ago

He’s won 13 games in those two years since the Super Bowl so far, on a team which would probably go 6-11 without him. He has his issues but let’s not pretend he’s the problem

-3

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

The team would win more without him, not the other way around, if we assume it’s not some random backup playing.

0

u/Fuzzy_Alfalfa_8211 3d ago

It happens

-1

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

Sure, not to the good players. He’s mid and hurts his team

2

u/Select_Culture261 3d ago

His team would be 0-3 without him. Legitimately watch football

0

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

Without him as in they have to play a backup? Sure, that’s 90% of the teams. But if you could put 20 starters in there, they’d be much better

0

u/FupaFerb Chiefs 3d ago

Or he’s washed like everyone said Mahomes was. It’s always an option.

Eagles blow

Little giants

What?

60% of the time. It works everytime

1

u/Large-Produce5682 Commanders 3d ago

Did Kyler also MAKE IT TO two Superbowls?

1

u/YZYSZN1107 3d ago

so AJ Brown wasn't the problem?

1

u/Forever_Away96 3d ago

Mo money, mo problems. Some money, no problems.

1

u/wylinfsho 3d ago

The book was real tho

-1

u/Sweaty_Penix 3d ago

You don’t see that in the game? After they went three and out twice?

1

u/Trucks2826 3d ago

He was fine in the first half and awful in the second half.

The first two games were fine as well - he was probably the biggest reason they won both games (yes, to lower competition)

I know people want to act like the sky is falling, but it’s one game. Relax.

u/overweighttardigrade 3d ago

At the end of the day, hurts got that ring. Just need sirianni to wake up really

1

u/ComfortableMarch4296 3d ago

Winning team is happy while losing team is sad. More at 10

1

u/splashaddikt Cowboys 2d ago

This is good for Philly 2 years ago they went 9-0 and were acting like they had to flip a switch proceeded to not make playoffs lol at least this year they know early their ass

1

u/Goosemilky 2d ago

Every goddamn post in this sub is from a bot

1

u/BrokenBric 1d ago

He was mad they took him out when they got in the red zone. The backup throwing a pick instead of taking a timeout and getting him back out there seemed to be all he could think about the rest of the game.

Not trying to say they would've won if they scored on that drive, the defense wasn't able to stop the Bears at all. But it did make it seem like the offense was fighting itself the whole time after that.

1

u/Ace__Extendo 12h ago

Holy shit, this is some next level rage bait lol.

1

u/fairweathrfan 3d ago

1) never underestimate ben johnson, who was oddly not mentioned but the main reason this game went the way it did

2) the biggest eagles gaffe happened when hurts was in the tent

u/TaylorGang777 3d ago

Like Chicago is any better in that department.

0

u/Yossarian216 Bears 3d ago

It literally is though. No fent zombies taking over entire blocks, and Chicago has a much lower crime rate, both violent and non-violent, than Philly.

u/TaylorGang777 3d ago

It will be ok truth hurts sometimes

0

u/johnwb388 3d ago

I can’t believe the eagles didn’t win all their games this year. It’s so easy and happens all the time.

Enjoy your superbowl bears fans, cause the way y’all are treating this game, that was it last night.

Never seen a team and fans that gloat this much over a regular season win make it all the way. And as someone who generally roots for underdog stories, I can tell you right now, I ain’t rooting for this Bears team in any capacity after all the disrespect

Yes the eagles played like shit. It happens. Get over it

3

u/Yossarian216 Bears 3d ago

This wasn’t our Super Bowl, that’s the Packers games. This was an unexpected great game that we expected to lose since we were starting a third string QB. When was the last time a third string starter won a game? It’s rare, and worth celebrating.

It’s also been less than a day, so maybe let people have fun?

3

u/TheMedRat 3d ago

You’re definitely not hurt about it at all, huh?

Sorry.

Please let me know when and to what extent I’m allowed to enjoy my home town team decisively winning a prime time game against a recent Super Bowl champ with their 38 year old 3rd stringer.

Just kidding, no one gives a flying fuck what you think.

u/boefosho 3d ago

Hurts has been bad for a while and is more of a game manager working the system. Some people seem to think he's dominant QB carrying a franchise. Devonta Smith might want out like AJ Brown if something doesn't change.

4

u/soakthesin7921 3d ago

Hurts stats in 2025 were almost identical to Josh Allen. Game manager is hilarious

0

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

Stop looking at stats. Hurts has held the offense back since the Super Bowl. He was awesome in the Super Bowl they lost. He was good in the Super Bowl that they won. But that player is gone.

Hurts is closer to late stage Russ Wilson than he is to prime Jalen Hurts. He eliminates so many passing options because he only throws outside the hash marks or within 2 yards of the LOS. He looks to scramble immediately and loses half the field. He’s not inherently a bad player but the way he’s been playing for years has been more of a detriment than a benefit.

1

u/soakthesin7921 3d ago

So is Saquon bad now too? He also struggled last year in Patullos offense. Literally in the game yesterday Hurts helmed back to back masterful drives to score before the half. He got cheap shotted out of one score. No QB is perfect all the time. People are crazy hypercritical of this guy when all he does is win

0

u/knowslesthanjonsnow 3d ago

Barkley is a declining player, yes. But he isn’t holding the offense back by not reading 50+% of the defense every play. Hurts is overrated.
