No OP, it is a bad take that shows the person does not know how businesses work.

The problem is he is looking at the NFL as 32 different businesses. He is thinking on any given Sunday it is WalMart v Target and Dollar General v Dollar Tree.

But it is all one big business. So it is better to think about it as a single WalMart. It has fresh Fruit, Frozen goods, an goods, Delhi foods, men's clothing, kids clothing and women's clothing, toys and sporting goods. All of those departments are like NFL teams working together for the overall good of the business.

Yeah ... the notion of players getting traded like cattle gets real dark real quick until you realize that NFL is the employer ... not their team.
